The original owners believed that a market was developing for the training of private citizens in the carrying of concealed handguns under a new Texas law. Then in May of 1998, a larger building was purchased and a large training academy was added. This new building was nearly 20,000 square feet of renovated offices, classrooms, retail sales, gym and range area. This newly acquired building was used to expand training to law enforcement, security companies and private citizens as well as job placement for security personnel.

Our staff at DFW Gun Range strives to provide a safe, clean, and user-friendly environment for our members, customers and students so that they will maximize their shooting and learning experiences. To that end we maintain a modern 17 lane shooting range, a 2000 square foot training gymnasium, retail display space for guns, accessories, ammunition and related products, a comfortable lounge area with a big screen TV, four large classrooms with TV, video players, white boards, large lcd televisions for power point presentations, offices, restrooms and storage facilities.

Chris Malone was amazing. He gave us a very thorough presentation. Helpful instruction. The Jungle Ranger Experience was a great experience and I highly recommend the total package. Chris' was so personable and really made the whole evening. We are from town and I would come back for more instruction!

We had the most pleasant stay and experience at the range. We got introduced to the safety and handling instructions before shooting. We were allowed to use different kind of weapons and felt save at the gun range. You can always reach out to the staffmembers for any kind of concerns. Mario Lozano made our stay even more joyable because of his thrilling experiences and Storys.
In Addition we got to meet the President Christopher Malone who Made us felt even more welcomed. If you are looking for a safe, fun, remarkable and respectable environment you should definitaly try this out. Greetings from Germany!

Great range! Took my license to carry class here and Frank was a very engaging instructor. Also have been a few times with both friends and family to shoot - you can bring your own gun or they have a great array of rental options. Note that it is an indoor range, so it is quite loud (easily solved with ear protection).

I went shooting with my dad here and we had a great time. It was a belated birthday thing and the staff was so helpful and very friendly. Josiah was very knowledgeable about guns and gun safety. They threw in an extra gun for my birthday and it was a really fun, cool experience. The prices are very affordable and we had a great time.

Great customer service. Came into the experience really nervous since I didn't have much experience with firearms but Chris Malone did an amazing job of explaining everything and it really made everything smoother. Really awesome experience overall, truly recommend the jungle experience even if you have zero experience with firing guns. Fired everything from a magnum to an AK47. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

My friend and I went to the DFW Gun Range, in hopes of really fulfilling the Texas way of shooting. We were met by an extremely professional staff, especially our instructor Chris Malone who was beyond all expectations concerning professionalism and guidance. Funny as hell too. The Jungle Ranger Experience was a perfect fit with a wide variety of guns. I would deeply recommend to everyone!

DFW Gun Range & Academy is definitely a must do in Dallas, TX! We came a group of three beginners and our instructor, Chris Malone, was AWESOME! He was very patient and very knowledgeable, he is the owner and let us use a brand new Siberian AK-47 that he had just received that day. Overall a very welcoming environment and an amazing experience. Definitely recommend it 1000%! Chris, THANK YOU! You're awesome!
