We have been using Absolute Protective Systems for over 15 years for our annual fire sprinkler inspection and had never had an issue. While they seemed pricey we never looked elsewhere since it was convenient for us. This year, we had to put off our annual inspection that was due in March because of the pandemic since we were pretty much in a lock down and our tenants were uncomfortable having visitors.
Fast forward to earlier this week, 7/23, we received an email from Absolute reminding us of the inspection with a time and cost to come for inspection. We responded asking for a different time. I missed and didn't respond immediately to the alternate time they provided given work and everything else going on in our life. Then this morning 7/25, while catching up on email, I see Absolute's email from 7/24 reminding me we are 3 months pass due our inspection (which is fine and appreciated) and then goes on to threatening to report us to the township for failure to have our systems inspected if we don't get make the appointment with them soon. APPALLED at their business practice. Is business so bad that Absolute has to resort to threatening long time clients for not responding to an email right away?
By the type of impersonal (this is the policy, we are awesome and not addressing the customer's actual concerned mentioned, no apologies) responses I see from the owner to the bad reviews here, it has given me more reasons to look for another company for our inspections. They can go report me to the town all they want but we will have taken care of this with another company that actual values their long time customers.
And oh by the way, did they forget we are in a pandemic and that is the only reason for the delay? I hope someone who cares about customers actually knows how to respond to negative posts reads this and mitigate the downward spiral of our poor experience instead of lighting more fire under our dis-satisfaction.

My church had neglected items of 'normal maintenance for our fire suppression system for more than a few years. We contacted Heather who attended to our exact needs right away, and we subsequently hired ABSPS to do an inspection of our system, and to get us to a place where it would be certain to be in good working order in the event of a fire. Our technician, Dan, spent about 4 hrs. checking into every element of the system throughout the church, draining condensation from various places that had built up from years of neglect, and performing a very in depth inspection of all the elements of the system. Dan also took the time to explain the work he was doing and why it was important to the proper functioning of our system.
The end result was that those who manage the bldg. and grounds for the church had 'peace of mind' that our system is in good shape and that it will work as needed in the event of a fire and protect our building. We can also move down the road now with some much needed improvements that will keep the system in good working order for many years to come. We will be using ABSPS in future years for all of our inspection and maintenance requirements!

If I could give -50 stars I would. In my 38 years on planet earth, this has been by far my worst experience with any vendor of any kind. I inherited this alarm system from a previous owner. I've had at least 5 false alarms, including 3 on vacation. The company does not respond well to calls/e-mails. The only way I could get their attention was to find the CEO's name on linkedin and ask to speak to him.
Even after making several mistakes, they constantly charge to come back to fix their mistakes. At one point I called to shut off my alarm and the police still came. Somehow they still did not accept blame for this. I like buying local, but do me a huge favor and rethink this horrible alarm company.

Horrible business model and expensive. do not use this company. they are completely overpriced and charged my business $115 just to show up (travel charge) then an hourly charge of $115 + materials. JUST TO CHANGE A BATTERY. I had asked them to let me know when they were going to come by the business when they were scheduling a time. In the interim, I found other companies at much more reasonable rates and called to cancel my appointment. at THAT time, I was informed that they had already been there.without scheduling a time with me.
When I called to discuss the invoice and the issues, they couldn't care less about my business. therefore, i'm taking it elsewhere. i've never seen a business less concerned. Guess they don't need the business.
