The "Sawyers" in Sawyers Control Systems comes from a beloved literary reference from company founder Tom Callahan. Even as a teenager, Tom's goal was to one day start a business named for his favorite fictional character, Tom Sawyer. He wanted the spirit of that company to reflect some of the things he loved best about Mark Twain's lively boy from the banks of the Mississippi: it would embrace boldness, a desire to explore the next horizon, and an emphasis on using creativity and intelligence to find ingenious ways to get things done.

Watch out for outdated technology and non-existent maintenance/followup. These guys wired/installed a security/thermostat system in my house 10 years ago and acknowledged that it is now old/out of date. After one conversation they have not returned many calls and are clearly avoiding the situation. My house is now wired with a system that only they are familiar with, and I have no alternative but to completely rewire again.
