Services
Roger and Karen Marcil founded Absolute Protection Team after witnessing the family pride from Roger's father. Roger's father, a former marine, worked for a national security and fire alarm dealer in New England before moving his family to West Palm Beach to start his own company. After growing up in the business, Roger was ready to start his own company in Vero Beach, Florida.
Locally-owned and trusted for over 35 years, the Absolute Protection Team is Vero Beach's leading provider of home security and fire safety. Our security consultants want what's best for your family and your home. So the first thing we do when we arrive is sit down with you and ask you what your goals are for your new system.
Home security is personal. It should complement your home, secure its vulnerabilities and meet the needs of your family. The Absolute Protection Team understands the importance of a custom installation. That's why we work directly with the homeowners to build a system that's right for their home, and nobody else's.
Do you want more free time, lower utility bills and greater peace-of-mind when you're at home? A connected home can do all of this and so much more. Today, homeowners can lock and unlock their doors remotely, see who's at the door from an app and turn on entertainment and lighting systems with a tap of their smartphones.

The ONLY reason I am still with this company is because their service tech, Rick, is excellent. Since the company was, in effect, moved to Kentucky, one only gets some random person when the company is called. Half the time, only half the message is really understood and acted upon. That's why I only give them a 3 star rating. if possible, I would give them a 2.5 star.
Just got my latest bill to replace a battery that I was told was replaced a year ago. Yet, I'm charged a $75 service fee and then $49 for a battery that is way more than one can buy elsewhere.

I have had Absolute for about 8 years and still do just because I have spent too much on equipment to walk away. I hired them to install cameras and they completely ripped me off selling me old outdated cameras that only work on old Internet Explorer. Don't give motion alerts and no sound. Messed with me for 6 months believing they could hook up sound and updates only to find out the cameras don't support it. Thousands of dollars for cameras that have less features than an 80 dollar Blink or a Ring. Don't waste your time, find someone else.

I wish I had searched Yelp to find a security monitoring service. I might have seen K.S. review and never signed up with Absolute Protection. I had the same experience. The salesman had me initial and sign the contact with no mention of the three year term. I had never used a security monitoring service but I took a contract that would have me out of town for six moths to a year so I decided to start having our alarm system monitored.
My wife would be here alone while I was gone and she said she would feel safer having the system monitored. As it turned out she stopped using the system because of false alarms. When I returned I called Absolute Protection to cancel the service and that is when I learned about the 3 year term. The contact also requires a written notice, 30 days in advance by certified letter.
There is also a clause which allows them to increase the price by up to 9% after the first year. They haven't done this but it is another clause that was not mentioned when I signed up. CAVEAT EMPTOR!
