Super expensive rates. Every place I used before costed $30 max to unlock someone's car door this place was in the 2-300 price range. Most likely rates are so high cuz uva students would pay anything

Wow! What a kind, professional, and efficient job Terry did for me. He came out quickly and retrieved my keys without a problem. Totally reasonable price. I'm grateful to him.

This place is a joke. They only want to do easy jobs to make big money. Called them about a lost key on a car which I could actually call the dealership with the Vin number and get a key made myself. But unfortunately the ignition switch was changed in the car so the Vin number will not work. Once he found out he couldn't do that he said he wasn't interested in doing it because it took time to do it.

I guess he thought he could call the dealership and get a key for $45 like I can and charge a lot of money to do it instead of being a real locksmith and making a key from the switch. Never use them again

Had a tricky lock that required a second visit. First visit was in the morning, second in the afternoon same day which was great. Professional and great service.

First called when I realized I was lock out of vehicle. Terry was nice up until one of my family members became available to help me. After apologizing for no longer needing his service, Terry became very unprofessional and rude. I was told that if I wasn't able to get into my car that he was no longer an option for me to call. His exacts words were "I'm done. Do not call me again if you can't get in your vehicle." This was the first time I was using his service and I will never recommend or call here again.

Key would not turn in car ignition. The Lock Doctor arrived at our house within an hour of call and replaced tumblers and made a new key. They were able to do the work in a little over an hour. The service was excellent and the people very professional and personable. I would definitely call them again and highly recommend them.

Let me tell you! These guys are great! I locked myself out my car at work. I called countless of companies and the sheriffs department with no luck. Another company referred the lock doctor, I called and they picked up on the first ring. They were at my work no later than 30 minutes after speaking! They were quick and so friendly! Terry was great. I called him about help with a finicky ignition lock on my motorcycle and he came the next day. Quickly he figured out that there was a piece of plastic stuck in my ignition switch, but instead of charging me for taking the switch with him in order to try to jimmy the plastic out of the lock he recommended the more cost-efficient route of buying a new switch. He was competent, efficient, honest, and pleasant. High recommendation.
