This is review is based on observations regarding this company. I observed extremely unsafe driving which included cutting in front of other vehicles to the point where the other vehicle had to brake or almost took the ditch and excessive speeding. It's obvious this company has a disregard of the safety of the general public and to drive this reckless in a company vehicle is pretty daring especially since their company name is plaster all over. I hope this review will serve as a remind to me mindful of safe driving practices and to keep in mind that everyone wants to arrive at their destination safely.

We have been waitng for two years on a cheap plastic reacement Piedmont Protective yard sign and continually receive useless words "will pass information on" & "will replace next time when we are in your area". 15 year customer, referals given, , thousands of dollars in equipment and now false promises - think twice!

We have been customers for 10 years. We recently moved and would only trust them. The rates are great! Equipment is great! Most importantly the people are great! Super friendly and professional. NO STARS! But I had to check at least one before it would allow me to "POST" this! I have been a perfect customer of Piedmont Protective for at least 10 - 12 years. Extremely dissatisfied with the turnover to Alarm Funding; actually the local office has become totally useless. I did not know my alarm system was not connected to responders & Robert said it was due to my AT&T UVerse landline service I had been using for a long time.
Naturally I wanted & deserved a very quick fix but he sent me to Alarm Funding (who had purchased most of their large accounts?), who put me thru to at least 2 different departments from PA to Buffalo, NY. Sent me many pages of paperwork including W9, credit application, quote, plus charging me a huge initiation fee as if I was a new customer; plus a 3-yr contract.
I called a new LOCAL alarm company & was up & running very safely within 24 hours - no contract, no credit check, nothing. In the process I learned the services I had been paying for so many years with Piedmont were not what I had been led to believe. I add their customer service was always less than desirable all these years. When trying to cancel with Piedmont, they say I must give a 30 day notice in writing & promised to email me in this regard yesterday. Have received nothing. I did a lot of research before choosing Piedmont Protective Services. I have friends that have nothing but good things to say about them and when Bill come out to speak with me about his offer, he made us feel like we was in good hands. He was very knowledgable, friendly, and act like he cared. The pricing is unbeatable and the equipment is top notch. The techs were friendly and very knowledgeable also and done a great job on install. I would recommend them to anyone.

It might seem crazy to say, but I love this security company! Bill and his team are great! They care about your safety and properly securing your home or business. And I should know because I have PPS at both of my Pure Barre studios as well as my home in Winston-Salem. Bill is focused on providing value and safety. He never over-sold me and gave me 3 systems that are top-notch to protect both my businesses and home. If you are concerned with being treated fairly and receiving the best value, PPS is the security company for you. 5 stars!

Bill, Robert and all the repair technicians are very attentive to details, care about their customers and are very interested in your safety and their product working like it should. I had been looking to install a security system with 24/7 monitoring for quite awhile. The cost/plans from the major security companies had caused me to not take any action. While helping a client one day, I noticed they had installed a security system. They were very satisfied, and the cost was definitely less than the major competitors. I had my system installed a few weeks later, and have been pleased with the professionalism of the technicians and office staff. I would recommend Piedmont Protective Services to anyone.

I called to cancel my service, they made it very difficult to do that - kind of like taking a page out of AT&T's book for cancellation requests. The staff member was pretty rude, seeming to prefer litigation rather than an amicable solution. They insisted on providing a 30-day cancellation notice, in writing, with password before they can actually stop the billing. It costs them next to nothing to monitor my home. I am very disappointed in the treatment.

OK, WOW. I didn't even look at any reviews before I started doing business with them, ya know, like how we used to do it 20+ years ago and let me tell you, the NEGATIVE reviews I would be willing to bet are from people who DO NOT pay their bill(s) and think the rules DO NOT apply to them. I literally saw one of their trucks driving around, got the number off it and called them. Explained my current alarm situation (old, outdated equipment, no contract with anyone but functional) and they guided me to update to some great current and "future proof" equipment, allowed me to keep components that were still working great to save money and were also interested in my input on what the longer terms of my protection system needs were and addressed them 100%!
So you know this post isn't BS I'll even give you a NEGATIVE that they QUICKLY made a POSITIVE! When the install tech showed up there was a miscommunication made on what I was having installed. Instead of making excuses he QUICKLY reviewed my contract to verify the mistake was theirs then he went straight over to the local supply house for alarm components (I won't mention where (the company name) just because I just happen to know of their existence, only sells to licensed alarm companies and such) got the parts needed and even picked me up a new keypad while he was there. (I asked him to since he was going, mine worked fine but buttons were getting a little harder to push.) They had all these items back at their main office but rather than reschedule me, inconvenience me, they spent more of their own money to make it right and get it done right, AND FAST.
The bottom line is this, the owner, Bill, is a small business owner like myself and he takes pride in his work and his reputation as do I. These days we live and die by good recommendations either by word of mouth or online reviews. Piedmont Protective Services deserve a top notch review for their work done here. Period.
