At the time when Ray Claborn and his business partners first purchased the company, there were only 168 monitored alarm systems. Today, the company has multiplied to over 10,000 systems. As the business has developed and become successful, Ray's partners have retired or moved on to other business ventures.

Not very pleased with SOS. Earlier this year we had a break in but were notified by officers, NOT by SOS. Recently, they said they were going to "check out our system" but didn't bother to tell us in advance so we weren't there with the key to let them in. For the last several days, we've contacted them trying to make an appointment but, though we're assured someone will call and set an appointment, no one has called. Looking for a new provider.

I used these guys to install a 31 camera system bot indoors and outdoors. It never functioned properly and after many attempts I gave up, their tech guys are weeks out, they do not stand behind their product or work. In my business, any camera down for 30min or more is potentially thousands of dollars in fines. I sat down with the owner and his son to try and work things out.
We did not, they sued me for the contract I signed with them (never ending payments as you don't own your equipment, they rent it to you for 4x its normal cost). I didn't pay attention to the lawsuit and now owe these creeps over $55,000 more for a system I had to completely rebuild after already spending over $38,000 to SOS before giving up and starting over from the ground up and not one single piece of their system is in use.
They after the first winter, half of my cameras were full of water. They are terrible, even farther back, their designer is a salesperson doesn't have a driver's license due to his numerous DUIs and he gets a hefty percentage of every piece of the system that he "designs" and doesn't seem to have much in the way of design skills. With cat 5 cable, any run over 300" is too much, when the install guys came there were numerous runs of over 600' and many parts of the system had to be reworked at my time and expense including lots of extra trenching to fix the initial design flaws. Avoid at all costs, these guys are terrible. If I could give negative stars I would.

We've been with SOS for seven years. When it works, it's fine. When it doesn't work, we typically have to wait 10 days for SOS to fix the problem. In addition, several times the person they send is not sufficiently trained to resolve the issue -- and we have to wait another 10 days. Some configuration of this has happened between 8 and 10 times in 7 years. This is our SECURITY system. We pay a high price for this service but, when we have a need, we have to go without security for 10 days or longer? We are NOT impressed.

So, we had a recurring beep on the alarm pad. I called and Jordy tried to help, but eventually had to refer us to a tech. The issue was a phone modular battery, but. In this time of Covid-19, we really didn't want a tech to come inside the house So, Mike was dispatched with a battery and instructions for me to replace it Mike dropped the battery in our mailbox, and called me to come get it I went and got it while he waited for me to call that I had installed it.
I did, and I called him from in front of the keypad, and he had me enter a few things to finalize. We know this was a bit weird, but in these crazy times, SOS went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. Thanks Jordy, thanks Mike and thanks SOS DD Grants Pass

We just had SOS (Damion and Mike) come to our home and provide us with an overview of our alarm system. Mike, the technician was very knowledgeable of system features. He was patient and informative as he demonstrated features we didn't even know we had. Such a great representative of SOS. THANK YOU MIKE AND DAMION!

We are very pleased with our SOS Alarm service! It gives us a tremendous amount of peace of mind to know our home will be safe when we leave town. We also appreciate the fact that this company is locally owned and operated, not outsourced to another place in the state! The SOS staff are very professional. Whenever we've had contact with them by phone, or in our home for a battery change, they always explain everything to our complete satisfaction, and leave us feeling even more grateful for this awesome service!

They are an 11 out of 10. Superb service, they have put up with my occasional goof with an understand that is amazing. Everyone is friendly, their service is great. I wanted something that it turned out I did not need and their salesperson explained why and she was right so they do not try to sell you something you don't need. GREAT people and I will always be with them, period!

I would like to rate this company as an former employee. I took a fall on my own time that required surgery that required a career job change. I have worked for just a handful of companies in my 32 years. SOS Alarm I can honestly say was the best experience I have ever had. The owners of SOS show great appreciation not only for there customers though there employees as well. Was a company I went to work every day with a smile. Professional interview at my home was focused around my safety and the services they provide to fit " MY" needs. Gave me tips regarding outside and inside lighting and other safety items. Installation of equipment was done in a few hours. I had a lot of questions for the tech who wanted to make sure I understood everything. Yes, I would recommend SOS Alarm.

I highly recommend Brandon at SOS for he was amazing! He responded to my inquiry quickly and came out for a quote immediately. He was very patient with my install schedule and allowed me to reschedule a couple of times easily. I consider myself a bit of a difficult customer and he took it in stride without making me feel like an inconvenience in any way!
The install was quick and the installer who assisted Brandon was knowledgable and efficient. They both explained the system to me extremely well and let me know that if I have any issues or questions I could feel free to contact them. I was over the moon with their service and kindness.
