We've been customers of State Alarm for over 20 years and they have always been professional and reliable. When quoted on the initial installation, they didn't try to "over-sell" us on items we didn't need. Also, they were a much better deal than the other companies for both equipment and monthly monitoring. The big "G" tried to use scare tactics. I trust State Alarm.

Ever since state alarm took over Youngstown security, which was our original alarm company, we have had many problems with any work needing to be done to our system. They never seemed to have trained their techs for the DSC systems like ours. Now they want to charge me for 2 hours for replacing the plug to the alarm system after a power surge. That took maybe 15 minutes.
The rest of the time was trying to get a new wireless door alarm synced up to the system and somehow that cased our system to arm and un-arm after each time you would open or close the front door. They were able to correct that but the wireless door alarm they added has never worked. I don't see how they don't provide the proper training to their techs for all the systems they monitor / service. Not to mention the awful customer service we just had on the phone about this very issue. I'd give them 0 stars if I could.
