This is an awful place to work. The environment was filthy, the information was inconsistent, and they treat employees very poorly. I worked here for about 3 days, and i quit because the guard before me left fecal matter in the toilet in a guardhouse with only one bathroom. When I called my supervisor about it he told me to either clean it up for drive a few miles up the road for a bathroom. It was very demeaning and i never got paid for any of my time. Horrible experience, I would rather beg for change in the desert.

I was very blessed to start here in September. But down the line it took a turn when I realized these people will do anything to save their contract with the building managers. Some of the stuff people said about security were lies but guardian didn't not care. They will move u to a different site to make u more comfortable but never solve problems.
But at my last site I experienced racism and nothing was none nor did they care too much about the outcome. Yes I needed the job but I was not going to keep being disrespected. Not to mention my last check was short because of me resigning. Horrible company they only care about the client not officers and would work you to death!

Guardian Security Services was very Professional, I called to verify employment and the person in Human Resources that I spoke to was very helpful, mild mannered and considerate. I appreciate agencies to this magnitude because it allows companies to be more efficient in helping a consumer in their time of need.

I have worked for Guardian Security Services for the past twelve (12) years. I have the utmost respect for the management team, my colleagues and our ownership. My security career started off as an entry level security officer. Through hard work, consistency, reliability and a "can do" attitude, I have been promoted several times. Guardian is a company that recognizes & rewards those that work hard.
Our mission and vision is to exceed our client's expectations, not just meet them. If you have a positive attitude, enjoy protecting people and interacting with the public, I would strongly encourage you to apply.

Been with Guardian almost 2 years now, and I enjoyed my tenure with them so much I remained onboard with the company despite also taking a career elsewhere, helping out where they need me. They take their employee's appearence very serious, never had a single issue with payroll, and the home office is more than willing to work with officers for hours and postings. As one of the other reviews pointed out, the deposit does pay for itsself.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Like how you hired someone for one shift but try to place them on another shift. I was going in to be a armed guard so he took my 75$ and never sent my application in to get my tan card. At that point he basically robbed me for my money knowing he didn't have intentions on mailing it out. So he called me and fired me over the phone over a minor conversation from the bank manager.
How you say to not to talk to them but get upset when we don't talk to them. You will constantly call about a schedule last min. Top it off they will cheat you out your pay and over charge for the uniform. I would never recommend this black to anyone.

I want to come at this from a different perspective. I am on Social Security and was looking for a supplemental job for some extra income. At Guardian when interviewed I told them of my availability and how far I was willing to travel each way. I have been in positions no further that 18 miles from my home, some as close as 1 mile. I have been with Guardian for 4 1/2 years and as some have said, yes, you pay for your uniforms up front, taking a amount out of your paycheck every 2 weeks.
Once past that your pay can be better than other security companies. I have worked for a few. I am working in the banking division doing banks and credit unions. Sometime they will ask to work different locations within the same division, but if you set your parameters early on as I did, you can get many locations within your desired area. I am 61 on SS and Guardian has let me supplement my income working 2-3 days a week for the last 4 1/2 years and know for a fact that I am making more money than many of the other security companies.

Having been in the Security field for 25 years I can say this is one of the best companies I have worked for. I am on my 5th year with Guardian. There is open communication with management and any time I have an issue my operations manager gets back to me and we both work out a solution. Yes, you do pay for your uniform but that is an investment in yourself and is tax deductible. There has never been an issue on getting paid and they do work with you when it comes to time off and your work location.

I have been with Guardian for 5yrs and 10 months. I'm currently a Site Supervisor with Guardian, and have been so for the past 2yrs. I like it that management takes into consideration all of the great effort you put in. There is opportunity for advancement with Guardian. The pay is competitive to other security companies.

I've been working for Guardian for almost 6 months and while some parts of other reviews are correct (you pay for your own uniform and benefits can be a bit expensive), there are some that are inaccurate (direct deposit is available btw). My operations manager has been doing a great job of ensuring I get my hours, and while it does sometimes mean a longer than ideal commute in covering others, he has always done his best to minimize the impact. The pay isn't top-tier, but it is more than most other security companies are offering.

Been working with Guardian for about a year and a half. The pay is dependant on your location and they always try to stick you close to home if they can. Management and dispatch are always a pleasure to work with. Strict on uniforms standards which is a good thing. Room for movement in the company. I started as a floater for various sites and have a supervisor position a little over a year later.

Been with the company for over two years now, and I can't really complain. Guardian has been very upfront about the things they require of new hires, as well as how pay works. They try to find you a place that's comfortable for you to drive to and are more than accommodating regarding requests for time off. Professionalism goes a long way here. I feel like what some folks are failing to understand is that, as a company that contracts, Guardian does not exactly set your pay rate; the client you end up providing service for does.
In other words, your pay will depend on what position you hold at which location. Overtime is frequently available if you ask for it, and they always try to stay ahead of minimum wage increases. They even set up a nice little Roth IRA for you at hiring.
