These guys were hired to put in a fire alarm system in the condo building I live in. While working on putting this system in one guy was in the attic above my unit and fell through the celling making a big hole. At first they reported it to the association and gave them a for me to reach them. I called this number and no answer. They said they had phone issues.
Then I finally get a hold of someone 4 days later and the lady chuckles and said yeah I overlooked your call! She then informed me that a guy was gonna call me right away to fix the celling. He never called. I then wrote a email to speak with a manager over this and a man named Gus called back telling me what did I want to do about the issue. Like um fix the whole in my celling and maybe clean up the mess and maybe cover the hole.
After a few excuses worker a came to clean up the mess and cover the hole with a box. A week goes by no one comes to fix it. I leave another email and of course I get him telling me that they do not fix drywall. He lies and SATs a man been calling leaving voice mails and emails and I have not been answering. LIES! Then after I email again finally a guy calls to get pictures on the celling to give ME a estimate to fix.
This guy did not even know that Illinois alarm was the one to fix this. They were trying to have me pay. After that I hear nothing until I left a email saying why is there still a hole in my celling. He emails back saying they do not work on drywall and have to find someone to come out. Funny how right after that email the contractor (maybe) called to fix it.
The mess, the stress, the aggravation, the complete disrespect is way too much. I can not believe that I been going through this with them since the beginning of the month. Its been over 24 days of having this whole in my celling. I will never recommend this company to anyone. There is no reason for this to even been written about them. But I hope you read this and really think about how I was treated here. I am sure I am not alone and if I am that too is a shame.

Gus from Illinois Alarm was a pleasure to do business with. We were required to install a fire alarm system in our condo. Gus met with me multiple times, once he was willing to meet with me on a Sunday morning, none of the other contactors were willing to do this for me, and he was available by phone during our condo board meeting at night. He also provided us options on installing the detectors using a round conduit which was silver or a nice white wire box mold, which was more expensive but since this our home, we wanted it to look nice. Illinois Alarm's installers were amazing and cleaned up each day after themselves, and when they come here to test the system, they are always polite and professional.
I do feel sorry for them as if you read the reviews, there is another company that almost has the same name. Please call Illinois Alarm and ask for Gus, he will take good care of you.

So I am a firm believer if you are going to secure your business, it's not only best to leave it up to the professionals, but also do not be one of those people looking for the ADT free special. I met with Gus and he informed me that they are a Bosch Authorized Dealer, and also informed me about their long history as a family owned company. The other companies I met with, all felt like they did not care, and it was up to me to pick my add ons, like I was at a restaurant.
I was very hesitant as the price was a little higher than I expected, but the other companies were extremely lower than I expected. After doing a little bit more research on the Bosch product line, and having multiple conversations with Gus, I felt at comfortable. Illinois Alarm installed a burglar alarm, card access and video system in my business.
Now there were some issues during installation, but anyone in business knows that you can never see the un-seen, but Illinois Alarm handled everything professionally and properly and after the project was completed I was more excited to play with the touch screen keypad and app. I have some business friends who have other systems and I looked at their systems which are like an all in one system, and to me that is not security. I am a loyal Illinois Alarm customer for life and will tell all my businesses and friends about this hidden gem of a company!

I met with Gus a few years back, as I was in the market for a video system for my business. As most of us do, we are always looking for the cheapest option. Gus was very upfront and educating me on cameras and Illinois Alarm. I was familiar with Bosch wipers for my car, and Gus educated me on the high quality that Bosch and Illinois Alarm represents.
I decided to go with the cheapest bid, which as not Illinois Alarm and I was broken into. The camera system was not able to properly capture anything of substance for the police department. So I decided to go looking for cameras again and I called Illinois Alarm. We decided to go with the Bosch camera system, and due the the issues going on lately, our property was vandalized.
But with the new camera system, I was notified in real time that they were vandalizing my business and we have all the proper video footage to provide to our police department. Quality comes with a price, and go with Illinois Alarm.

These people couldn't secure a doghouse. Somehow my email address ended up as the contact for one of their clients and I began receiving hundreds of email alerts which contained information that compromises their entire "security" model. I emailed them 4 times to inform them that they are sending the information to the wrong person and are putting their client's security at risk by doing so.
Rather than correcting the mistake, they responded by putting the blame on the client and telling me that it's my responsibility to contact their client and have my email address removed. They were extremely rude and unprofessional and, as I said, could not secure a doghouse.
