I made a purchase of 2 4-pack replacement batteries for my unit. They were pictured on the website as a 4 pack at a price of $10 each. Initially the shipping was listed at $12.50. After placing the order, I received an email that I was refunded $9.50 of the shipping cost. When the package arrived it contained 2 boxes with only 3 batteries in each box.

I called the number on the sales receipt and no one answered. From the website I filled out a form to explain the problem. To date I have not been contacted. I tried again the next day to call the phone number and this time a very angry woman answered and proceeded to scream at me that I had the wrong number. I do not recommend this company!

I don't think they're still in business. I emailed them a question before I buy three replacement MURS transmitters, and received no reply.

I purchased the MURS hand held radios from Dakota Alert about 15 years ago, give or take, and they're still going strong. Good company, great people and if I could give them a higher rating than 5 stars, I would.

I have a Dakota driveway alarm and it has never been reliable at all. False alarms when no cars are driving in. Every third car that enters, the alarm fails to trigger. Changed distance setting, angle of beam, put in new battery, nothing helped. Its an indoor PIR used outdoors, very Unreliable indeed. Other posts say unreliable too.

Dakota Alert makes quality driveway alarms and backs them up with tremendous service. I have owned a couple of their products and have been very pleased when dealing with the company for service as well.
