I'm an architect and just built our dream home on Lake Champlain. First Line was recommended by our home automation people but I met first with ADT and Comcast Home. They're both big and national, so they must be good, right? Both were expensive and their sales people hounded us day and night for weeks. It was clear they are both sales companies, not security companies.

First Line, on the other hand, has been great. No pressure, really listened, were less expensive and the system is really sophisticated (but not complicated). The window and door sensors are hidden so you don't even see them. Paul, their lead installer gave me his cell number and when I've called him to ask a few questions, he sounds happy to hear from me, gives me as much time as I need, and asks if I need any system tweaks.

Great guy. I had them do smoke detectors, security (exterior door sensors, basement windows and a few motion detectors), exterior cameras (front door, garage, pool) and water sensors in basement mechanical rooms and under kitchen sink). A really positive experience, start to finish.

We used First Line before reopening a B&B. Our inn is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Vermont Register of Historic Places. They helped us navigate the ever-changing requirements of the state and worked with us to minimize disruption. They also worked with us to locate smoke detectors, heat sensors, and pull boxes as non-obtrusively as possible.

The installer was neat and cleaned up after himself, leaving little mess behind. We wish all contractors were as neat and courteous as they were. Three years later, we continue to use First Line for monitoring and testing. We highly recommend them!
