I was at the energy express on grand and Broadway I was having troubles out of my car and security officer Coley came out and asked me what was going on I told him my car was running funny and stopped he called someone to help me they came out and fixed my car for me just because officer Coley called him I was so thankful that officer Coley was down there he made sure everyone was safe and people was shopping and going before I lifted I asked Mrs Coley how much he get paid per hour I was so mad that the company that he is with pays so little to there officer's.
Grand and Broadway is very dangerous and the security down there needs to get paid more for putting there life at risk if your ever down there look for the biggest security officer that's Officer Coley he will look out for you and help in any way he can thanks again security officer Coley

When I applied for a job at Sentry Security, I was simply looking for a summer job. A job that could be a bridge to something better. I started as a security officer on the overnight shift, and worked my way up through the the ranks quickly. Suddenly I found myself not looking for another job as I continued to climb the ladder at Sentry. 19 years later, I am still work at Sentry and I have built a solid career through dedication, ethics, and a strong work ethic. Sentry is a place where anyone can grow, advance, and make good money by working hard and doing what is expected.

I have worked here for a while now and I can say that working for this company has truly helped me in many ways. The owner, John, is fair and honest and if there is any type of discrepancy he will get to the bottom of it. The majority of negative reviews on here are from people who did not show up or call off for their assigned shifts, were constantly late, did not adhere to grooming and uniform standards, along with numerous other unprofessional actions.
They were told they could work and show their performance and have the opportunities for advancement and they ruined those opportunities by doing one or all of the above infractions. And couldn't understand why they were being given fewer and fewer shifts due to their unreliability. I have assisted people with schedule adjustments, personal issues, pay issues, and I have never seen so many people take advantage of the kindness shown towards them.
I also do not understand how anyone can sign paperwork without reading it first. There is a sheet in the on-boarding packets with a list of violations which can result in fines taken out of paychecks. It is actually the first page of the paperwork. Yet when people get fines taken out they cannot understand why. Of course you are going to be penalized for showing up to your assigned shift 5 hours late. Seriously. 5 hours late.
Of course you will get penalized for asking for a ride to and from work everyday by a supervisor. We have many officers who are on public transportation and they are never late, even during the recent Metro Transit Sick-Out. I will never understand how people cannot maintain their professionalism and that saying inappropriate and untrue things will erase the facts.
Everything is documented and the owner gives many, many chances to people who feel they should continue to have a job after repeatedly breaking company policies. This company will work for you if you work for them.

I worked with this company for two years and the staff is very professional and friendly. Since starting I have received several raises and opportunities to learn new things. I have also noticed that when a problem needs to be solved John, the owner, gets right on it and ensure the resolution is fair. Sentry Security is a family owned business and at times I feel like one of the family. I recommend Sentry Security to you if you want growth and a opportunity to make a decent salary. This is possible with hard work.
