Rhino Metals, Inc. is a veteran owned manufacturing company that was founded in 1995, originally as a small town metal fabrication job shop. The founder, Don Suggs, was a fighter pilot that also loved metalworking and decided to apply the discipline and commitment to excellence gained in flying fighters to the business world. The company has grown to be the industry leader in the gun safe industry, with innovations such as the popular Ironworks design, the convenient swing out rack gun storage system, and now the ultra-tough polyurea (truck bed liner tough) safe finish.
Services
Rhino Metals offers to the original purchaser, a limited lifetime warranty, covering defects in workmanship, material, and damage by unlawful attempted or actual break-in, and fire. This Warranty applies only to safes located in the United States and Canada, purchased at an authorized RHINO METALS Safe dealer, and that have been used solely in residential applications.
Where is my serial number located? For RHINO METALS Safes, the serial number is located on the bottom back corner of the safe and on the lower inside section of the door. For BIGHORN and KODIAK Safes, the serial number is located on the right side of the safe near the back top corner and on the lower inside section of the door.
As part of our ongoing quality control testing, Rhino Metals, Inc. has determined that the Bighorn Model P-20 handgun security safe can be opened without the use of a combination allowing unauthorized access to a handgun, posing a serious risk of injury to children and others. Although there have been no reported incidents to date, Rhino Metals is voluntarily recalling and offering full refunds for these Bighorn Model P-20 handgun security safes. Your security is our business and we remain committed to the same simple business principles that got us where we are today.

I can't say enough great things about this company. Bought a Rhino safe from Costco back in 2014 and the lock and clutch both failed at the same time just recently in 2021. Quite disconcerting being locked out of your safe! Got ahold of Delora in tech support easily and she took the time to understand my problem. After confirming ownership and identity, she shipped out the parts and instructions I needed to get back into and fix my safe.
Along the way one another part needed to be replaced in order for me to finish the fix and Delora quickly shipped that out to me as well. The repair is done and my safe is working as new again. Absolutely outstanding customer experience! Thank you, Rhino and Delora!

I'm a proud owner of one of the Kodiak safes and I love it. I looked at several different manufacturers, makes and models before this purchase. Many boasted a certain gun capacity but upon closer inspection I learned that there was no way you could fit as many guns as advertised. In all the cases the safes had tiny little grooves for the gun barrels.
I suppose if all I owned were single shot open sighted.22's they might work. But with the Rhino safes plenty of room is left for scopes, bi pods, slings and other accessories so that with a little ingenuity you can actual fit a gun in every slot.

First off, the appearance of this safe is unique exactly what I wanted. But there is more than looks here. My present entry level liberty safe is outgrown and frankly the 30 min fire rating scared me. This Ironworks is big and has a 210 min fire rating @1400 degrees. Ok I'm delighted with this safe! BUT NOT THE SERVICE. As mentioned I now have two safes and how you lay the shelving design out is a personal thing.
I prefer more than the 3 side shelves it came with, so I called customer service. A young lady named Madison answered the phone. She asked how she could help me then took my number and and said someone will get back to me shortly. I received a TEXT about 10 minutes later saying they don't sell shelves and proceeded to tell me how easy it would be to cut my own and cover it. REALLY.I'm sorry, I like things to match.
Imagine buying a safe around 4k and you can't buy freaking extra shelves. We'll I would if I could find the exact material and edging, very unique. I just hope nothing goes wrong with it. Kinda left a bad taste. My buddies just asked what did I expect for $4000. Chris M, Mesa AZ

I recently purchased an Ironworks AIW6033X Safe. With all add-ons, delivery, and discounts my cost was about $3,700. The safe was great. No complaints on the quality and workmanship on the purchase; however, the shipping process was not adequate. I paid for standard shipping. Everything on the Rhino Website claimed a 4 week turn around for the build. So, expecting to wait for my build, I wasn't planning on a fast turn around nor was I ready for a quick curb side delivery of a 1000 pound safe.
On that note, the shipping was fast (1 week), but I never received the shipping notice. Now, who would actually complain about fast shipping? No one. The problem is that I had to be notified by the freight company (Not Rhino) that the safe was ready for delivery with only 1 day notice. Most people work and I had no arrangements for the safe to be delivered curb side and no one to move it into my home.
With notice adequate notice, I would have been ready no problem. After calling Rhino, absolutely no help, I was forced to make arrangements to have the safe picked up, or else it would be sent back and I would be charged a restocking fee. I would like to thank the freight company, for going beyond their responsibility and helping me get my safe delivered.
I would like to reiterate that I received no shipping notice from Rhino, and after contacting customer service received no help in making better arrangements. It was funny that not until after I contacted customer service about the problem, I was then sent the shipping notice by email, but still no solution to my problem. Why cover your tracks and then leave me hanging?
After the price you pay for a safe like this I'd expect better customer service, especially without proper delivery notice for something you can't simply walk through the front door with.

Worked with Steven on a vault door, overall great experience. I was getting frustrated with how long it was taking to manufacturer it, I get it they are custom items but once I saw the door in person I was blown away with not only the quality of the craftsmanship, but the engineering and design they put into the entire system. The install was actually easier than I expected and I do plan on buying from Rhino again! I also really enjoy supporting local business as well.

I recently purchased a rhino safe which was a custom pearl white color. The safe is very beautiful and strong. I did notice that it had a minor scratch on the top of the door so I called the company for some touch up paint. Without question they immediately sent me the paint along with instructions. Their customer service was very friendly and professional. My safe looks beautiful now after I covered up the scratch. Thank you Rhino, you have an awesome product.

I purchased my Bighorn safe about two years ago and in that time I have had to contact the company once. As it turned out the problem was with me not the safe or the company. I had no problems calling them and they did a followup call back to me to make sure everything was okay. I have a combo lock and have no problems with it, however, I do change batteries every 6 months as recommended. I would and do recommend this safe and company to anyone looking to buy a quality products.

I love my Ironworks safe. It is the envy of all of my friends and my wife is finally ok with having a gun safe as the center piece of our living room. The antique, rustic, vintage look is stunning. I recommend this safe to anyone. Also, I can't wait to get my hands on a swing out rack as my next upgrade to the safe. I feel like it isn't complete without it. This safe is officially a family heirloom.

I have a Bighorn Safe. Has performed well for almost 4 years. Now the electronic lock has failed, cannot lock my safe. I tried all solutions provided in owner's manual and FAQs for online website. After talking with customer service on 6 occasions, giving them all information about model #, serial # over and over again, being redirected to a voice mail and leaving numerous messages ( someone that has not come to work for several weeks as just described by a customer service person), been promised a call backs on how I can remedy the problem, I have all but given up hope.
The issue of being covered under warranty is not my complaint, I just want to fix it and was hoping the company would care enough to help remedy the problem. I guess the only good news my safe did not fail while being locked and I cannot get my personal belonging out of it. I'd strongly think twice about buying this company's products. If it fails, you can't get any assistance on how to resolve matter. You are on your own!
