Pay very close attention to the recent reviews of this company. We've been Aloha Alarm customers since 2014. Something has definitely gone wrong. Recently, we started getting false alarms from one of our internal motion sensors. I called the service number, and was told someone would contact me. 2 weeks later, after no callback, I contacted them again, and the same thing happened -- no callback.
Almost 2 months later, my wife called, and because she's more persuasive, she was able to get the person on the phone to make an appointment for later in the week. No mention of the $175 service call fee that I would only find out about later. On the day of the appointment, the service person showed up on time, but said there was nothing that could be done except to replace the motion sensor.
No diagnostics, no review of alarm history. He replaced the sensor and made no mention of cost, so I naively figured maybe it was covered as part of aloha alarm's good service. Shame on me for believing there are still companies that stand behind their product. Got the bill for $248.03. Had I known how much the service call and replacement sensor would be, I would've skipped it all and found a new alarm company. Save yourself the hassle and expense. There are far better, and more ethical security companies out there.

Something is going on with this company. I've had their service for more than 13-14 years and when I call I'm placed on hold and then finally after 30 minutes when I leave a call back message with some generic message taking service, I don't get a call back. I tried again today and held for 15 minutes. Someone said they would try to reach someone at the company and then I was told by a recording to try my call again later. Yikes. What is going on?

Don't use these guys! They used to be a really well run company with great local customer service. Now they have been bought out and when you call with any equipment problems, you get directed to customer service on the mainland somewhere. They wont let you talk to anyone here locally. All they will do is schedule a tech to come out, starting at 175$ minimum. Guy came out to my store for 5 minutes and it was almost 200$ with the tax! Find a LOCAL company, don't be fooled into thinking these guys are.

I normally don't post reviews but I felt like everyone needed to know. I've been with this company for several years, I called them almost three weeks ago to let them know they debited my account three times in February and three times in April. I was told to email my bank statement and they will correct it. Ask how long is it going to take?
I was told 2 days because the same person who answer the phone she said she get's all the email. A week goes by the same person answered the phone and I ask her for a status she place me on hold comes back said she got the email and would pass it on to accounting to take care of it. Take note this is the same person who said two days and all emails goes to her, had I not called a week after she would not have pass the information on to the accounting person. (Absolutely poor customer service) Another week goes by, I speak with someone else and now I ask to speak with the manager left a message to have her call me back.
Two days go by, I call again and reach the same person from the initial call to this company. I gave her my name in the event she didn't remember me and still nothing about my refund. The manager hasn't bother to call me back even after numerous request. Stay away from this company, I have records and documentation to verify all of this.

This was an excellent locally owned company that had excellent workers! However, this business was sold and now it is horrible. I have texted and e mailed with no responses. U cannot reach anyone locally, u get bounced to mainland answering service. U can hear children crying in the background. No excellent service now! This is not what i signed up for at all!

I called to follow up on an appointment and I'm being told they are closed when it clearly indicates that they close at 5pm (I called at 4:15pm). Then I'm being informed that I need to pay a service fee because I changed my cable router and my equipment isn't working as a result when it's all Wi-Fi connected. Every time I call it's one thing or another. So frustrating. I would give ZERO stars if I were able to at this point.

The service was ok. However, to cancel, you have to write a handwritten letter, sign it, and mail it. The service will be canceled 3 days after receiving it. Would have been great to know before I called to cancel. My card will be automatically charged for an extra month. What kind of process from 1990 is that? Seriously?

John is the BEST! I'm so thankful he was able to help my parents get their alarm system working again. The previous guy told my mom that she was setting it incorrectly, showed her the new way, then left. So Mom had to call the company again to come up. This time, John checked everything thoroughly and figured out one of the main sensors wasn't working correctly, replaced it and made sure Mom got all her questions answered. Btw, Mom didn't want me to post a tooo good review for John, bc then he'd be hard to get back if they ever needed! Haha. Anyway, thanks John for your help! We appreciate you!

Purchased this alarm shortly after my father in law died in 2019. We had 2 years of it working perfectly fine, but now the batteries are slowly going and I'm assuming a few transmitters aren't working properly. Late this afternoon I'm getting alerts than a sensor has been tampered with. I can see it's fine. Need to swap out the battery, but it's been so humid the battery compartment is corroded.
I don't want to pay $100s of dollars to replace the one part. I could probably get on eBay for much less. Looking at other reviews I was told upfront there is a contract because it cost them money to install and monitor the equipment. My problem is you guys are a local company with teams all over the island. Maybe start offering complementary checks to make sure wires and everything are still properly set up.
If not explain to the homeowner the benefits of correcting the issue, but don't nickle and dime your current customers. My alarm has had 2 false alarms in 2 months HPD will start assessing a fee and may not respond. I'd think it would be an awesome gesture to schedule a quick visit 30-45 minutes to check sensors, wiring, and batteries (of course I need to pay for them if they are bad) The 2 false alarms are for sensors randomly triggering as opened usually in the middle of the night.
We looked around the house and no one was around and no evidence of tampering. My 2 cents I'd love to support a company that does what is right and schedules bi-annual service. Maybe 1/2 way through the 5 year contract and again just before it ends. Guess what I'd probably stay if they just checked it out and said oh by the way the contract is up.

The sales representative Titusmade sure if i had any questions or concerns he addressed them. He appointed John to do the install at our home. John was the best technician to install our camera system. Very thorough and highly professional company. Didn't try to sell me extra or services I didn't need.

Aloha alarms helped us feel comfortable and heard when voicing our concerns regarding a surveillance system. Tyler was the tech who came out and set up our 6 cameras. He was amazing and patient when working around our schedules. I am so impressed with all that has been done and looking forward to future business with this company.

I was very happy with the results of the security camera installation by Aloha Alarm. Peter the sales rep was very attentive to my needs and helped me select the right system for my home. Ben and Tyler the technicians were very professional in their work. I was impressed at how neatly the cameras were installed. They took the time to make sure the cameras and the equipment were installed properly.
They also took the time to teach me how to monitor my home with the cameras that were installed. Tyler was very patient in helping me understand how to monitor my home through my smart phone and lap top. I am very impressed with the service that Aloha Alarm provided. I think the big difference is that they are willing to help answer any questions and help resolve any issues that may arise in the future.

Our Review on Aloha Alarm. Our Representative is Peter Kobashigawa. Peter is a Good Friend of ours, we go back along way, as Martial Arts Instructors. When Peter say he works with Aloha Alarm we checked him out. He came over and talked to us about what we wanted for our home. We have an home alarm system already. Peter asked we needed to enhance our alarm system.
I said, yes we wanted more cameras. Peter made a couple of suggestions. We ended up with owning additional cameras. I have been a longtime Aloha Alarm customer with 6 wired HD external cameras on a 2 story oceanfront home. The peace of mind i have with Alorm Alarm and Technician John S and Trainee Tyler is simply priceless. john installed my system many years ago and proudly maintains it for me on a regular basis. He has outstanding Customer service skills and is so technically competent on both software and hardware capabilities. He is the reason that Aloha Alarm is as successful as it is. Amd now Tyler is being trained by the Best!

Dave the installer was and always is a very nice person. He explains everything he's going to do and explains how to use the product in detail. He's always mindful of the customer and cleans up when the job is done. I've had him over several times for different jobs and has never had any issues with him.

Have been with Aloha Alarm for a long time, in the beginning they had good customer service, and were very helpful. Within the last couple of years things seemed to have changed. It's been three times since we mailed in our payments and then we get calls saying we never paid our bill. Once I can see but I got a call last week and told the agent that called me I paid this bill and gave him the check number, he said he would look into it.
This week another person calls saying again we did not pay our bill. I sent him a photo of my cancelled check, and told him to have someone call me, I am very unhappy with your service since this has happened more than once. Till this day no one called back. We were also notified we need to upgrade our system, the options were either $199 to have a chip installed or $699 for the upgraded Panel.
When they emailed me this past month about the upgrade I let them know that we were having issues with our system, the battery keeps saying low battery, or system texts us system battery restored. No one has gotten back to us to see what the problem is. I thought about upgrading but it looks like we will be looking around for a new alarm company.
This week another person calls saying again we did not pay our bill. Called our tech John Sacriz After hours. We lost our connection to our phone app because we changed internet carriers. He called us back immediately and walked us through the process. Our review of Aloha alarm. Our representative from Aloha alarm was Peter Kobashigawa. Peter made us feel real comfortable and treated us like family. If Peter has high standards for customer service and it shows. Peter kept in contact with us every step of the way. Peter gave us several options after looking at our home. He gave us an option of a full alarm system, Or just an exterior camera system which consisted of 4 cameras and a hard drive.
We chose the camera system and we had our own monitor that we could add to the system Ben did the installation. And he got our cameras installed in 2 days. We enjoyed Ben he had a great personality and he explained the process. Having been installed our camera system It was a great decision because the installation is so professional and clean that I was amazed at the quality of Ben's work.

Once they sell you the system, you are virtually on your own. Used them twice (because under contract) to install, re install, upgrade. I have tried numerous times to change the call back numbers to no avail. Have had my TC app not work numerous times which is my current situation. Have left numerous e mails and text messages to Mark (Unless he is no longer with company or his number has had has changed) no response.
I have already called the office and spoke to a nicce lady who could not fix my issue. I would think a courtesy call back of some kind would be in order. I guess business is so good thaloyal past current customers are a forgotten thing Follow up: Titus and his team fixed the issues I was experiencing. Evidently there is new management and many miscommunication issues were due to prior management. Hopefully they can stay on track as many of the low reviews were consistent with issues I've experienced myself.

I want to start by saying I did business with these guys about 6 years ago, and used to think they were one of the best out there, and that I had actually recommended them to a few of my friends who did end up purchasing from them. That being said, however, they have really declined over the years. When we had our first experience with them, everything went exceptionally great.
They were easy to reach, scheduling a in-home consultation and quote was easy and on time. Pricing was reasonable. We were very happy for the time being. Fast forward over the years. We have come to realize that EVERYTHING that happens requires a technician to come to your house, which regardless of your fault or theirs, is a charge. The sensors we had "installed" are held by nothing more than tape.
Of course you can imagine being at work and your alarm is triggered, but really this is because the sensor fell off. Now imagine all the sensors in your house, one by one. Not only does this involve the tech to come every time one falls, but you also get another $100 fee charged from HPD. They also do not even care to check up on you, to maybe update you with the latest products, etc.
I recently went on their website and saw many new innovations that I am very interested in and had no idea was even being offered through them. I also have had about 3 issues over the past year or so, where I called assuming I could be helped over the phone. I should've known better, because of course, they want to send the tech down so they cam charge you.

This results in multiple attempts to reach them, which is highly unnecessary on top of everything else. I have been thinking about switching for the past year, and I finally think I will make the jump. It's too bad though, they were really doing great in my eyes.

I called today and asked about canceling my alarm. The girl said if I cancel I still have to pay 5 years of service?! She said we have a 5 year contract, but when we started service in 2017 Isaac Lima signed us up. We did not agree to a 5 year contract nor did we sign anything that stated this, so this is a total scam! Stay away because they will rip you off!
We didn't even get a copy of the contract?! They only gave us a copy of the contract this month 4/1. WARNING! THEY SCAM CUSTOMERS INTO SIGNING A 5 YEAR CONTRACT WITHOUT LETTING THE CUSTOMER KNOW ABOUT IT! Crime in my area is on the rise, so my family and I finally decided to invest in an alarm system. Searched around, and Aloha Alarm had some of the best reviews, some of my neighbors use them too, so I decided to try them out. I'm very happy we did! Titus and his technicians were all very well mannered and professional. Titus came over to my home to do a walk around of the property and give me a quote on an alarm system, we arranged to meet up again shortly after to do the necessary paperwork.
Once the paper work was out of the way, we scheduled a date for the technicians to come out and do the install. We decided on alarms on all the windows and doors. My house has A LOT of jalousie windows, so it was a big job for them. Took three techs a day and half to get it all finished. They were very meticulous about their work, they wanted it to be as nice possible, which I really appreciated. They did a fantastic job! Shout out to Isaiah: really cool guy, great worker! I can sleep easier at night now that I have an alarm system by Aloha Alarm!
