Norman Jaspan Associates, Inc. ("NJA") is a management consulting firm, operating internationally and domestically for over 75 years. It combines investigative audits with management engineering functions and specializes in safeguarding company assets, developing shortage controls, evaluating systems and formulating educational training programs.
Expedite processing and reduce the number of U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) inspections and audits of cargo entering the U.S. from overseas. This reduces the risk of cancelled orders by customers. Below are the CBP-issued statistics for 2008. Therefore, CBP will now be able to issue penalties against importers at the port level, and they no longer need to pass the request up to their headquarters for permission. Also there is no longer a "three-strike" approach to penalties, so if you have your first late ISF filing, CBP can penalize you right away.
Norman Jaspan Associates, Inc. will work with any size company (regardless of the square footage and the number of employees) located anywhere in the United States, Mexico and Canada in joining the CTPAT program or being compliant if they are not eligible to join. For foreign suppliers and service providers (excluding Canada and Mexico) which are not eligible to join the CTPAT program, unless by invitation by the U.S. Government, we will work with them in becoming CTPAT compliant.The following is a list of a few cities where CTPAT services are scheduled in the next few months.
A CTPAT SUSPENSION can eventually result in a Reinstatement or a Removal from the CTPAT Program. A suspension is a temporary loss of a Partner's program benefits. Failure to meet eligibility requirements, including vetting and /or security breach in a Partners supply chain. You have 90 days from the date of the suspension letter to respond to the recommendations and action items. If you do not respond, or if your responses do not meet the minimum CTPAT requirements, the CTPAT member can be withdrawn from the program.
