Engineered Security Systems was founded by Angelo George with the aim of protecting businesses from theft and burglary. Using Photo-Scan technology, ESS installs it's first major CCTV System for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in Parsippany, NJ. ESS is featured in the New York Times for its distinctive role in combating the increase in shoplifting that had been plaguing retailers around the country.

Terrible. They overcharge and never fix an issue Instead they send two people over to milk the time we finally brought in another company that replaced them and they said ESS had mistakes in the wiring. Sorry we did not replace them years ago. Now they want to be paid for several invo8ces when they never fixed the issue.

Service department was very disappointing. They charged me hourly, on two separate occasions, for problems that they were not able to accurately identify or fix. Prices were not discussed prior, and I assumed it was all still under warranty (which ended a month before the issues began).

ESS services our business and we continue to struggle with their poor customer service. Today is just another example of having an 8am appointment with them and they have yet to show up (9:15am). The irony of it is that we are purchasing more services from them and they don't show up. I have discussed our challenges with them as we have a zone that does not work, equipment that is faulty and challenges with their level of customer service.

They installed the intercom system in one of our development projects in jersey city. The intercom never worked. We called many times, we even returned the intercom to them and they never took responsibility on this. I didn't take them to court because I didn't have the time to go through this.
