STAY AWAY, almost lost my homeowner insurance coverage due to the delay of installation, lack of professionalism and misleading their customers. I should have read all these 1 star reviews before moving forward with Guardian Security. No transparency and honesty from this company, one person from Guardian Security could interpret their contract different from another person in Guardian Security at different times (before/after you sign their contract) In early Feb, I purchased a home and my homeowner insurance policy requires the home to have centrally monitored fire and burglary alarm.
I started to inquire quotes from a few different company and made all of them aware of the uniqueness of the systems (separate fire and burglary panel). Out of all the bids, Guardian Security had the best deal with no installation cost and sales representative from the company told me that they had done similar work recently on another house which they took over both systems from Puget Sound Alarms.
Some local company came onsite for an estimate, Guardian Security had asked me to take some photos for both systems (2 different panels) at some point. So I signed the contract with addition of upgrading the old keypads from early 2000s. Everything seemed smooth and straightforward so far. 1st visit, the tech came onsite, performed installation of the communicator on burglary and informed me that fire alarm and keypads would require another visit.
He told me that he noted in his notes to the sales person. 2nd visit, tech came for a second attempt to install keypads with caveats that 3rd keypad requires more power. I also noticed that wireless sensors stopped working after the visit. When the tech installed the communicator for burglary alarm, he told me that there seems to be some process that requires additional approval.
A month and a half after the contract was signed where the sales person told me that its all inclusive, both fire and burglary would be monitored on page 2, on March 17th, I was told that fire alarm system requires a separate subscription with monthly payment increasing from $40 to $70. I refused this as it differs quite a bit from the original contract price.
From March 17th to April 15th, multiple different people from Guardian Security was trying to confuse me stating that contract I signed only covers burglary alarm system. This is either an unethical practice or misleading their customers on the signed agreement. Note that I had to do weekly ping on the email thread to even get attention from someone.
Eventually on April 15th, Seattle area sales manager reached out to me and offered to keep the contract price. However, at this point a regular customer like me had lost faith in this company and would like to terminate contract and go with another provider. As soon as this idea was brought to Guardian Security, a Seattle area operation manager started to try to bully me to pay for the entire contract which was never executed properly.
It's ridiculous that 0 days of service promised was delivered after 2 months and he is trying to tell me to pay for the service that was never there. I'm amazed that security company that is supposed protect your family in case of emergency is doing this type of practice. I don't trust this company anymore and would encourage people who read this review stay away from them.

We are opening another restaurant and use GS for our security services. Today we had installer Trace Turpin at our new location and we had some challenges but Trace was polite, professional, friendly and helped me get this all completed and synched our three locations. He is a quality staffer for Guardian Security.

If I could do negative stars, I would definitely do so for their customer service guy. Elliot Sims or Simons or whatever the dudes name is is so extremely rude! The business overall, I've had a great experience with, but asking simple questions, I get brought to tears because I'm treated like a complete idiot! Wish there was more that I could do than write a review. I feel so sorry for his coworkers!

My review of this company was a 4, and now its a 1. I have three services with them, security, building access and cameras. After 3.5 years, our camera system has gone crazy. After 6 months of trying to fix it, they want to charge me for the service calls that failed to fix the problem. I have a camera system that does not work and I have to pay them for their "service".
My only option is to either leave or buy an equivalent system (not higher specs) - since they cannot fix what they have. Why have I been paying a service fee to get no service? Beware of their claims of professionalism, when push comes to shove, Mason will hold you hostage to buy more equipment.

This company does not deserve your business. Stay away! They can't compete with modern solutions like Simplisafe or Frontpoint in pricing, technology or service, so they have resorted to locking customers in long 3 year contracts. They claim their contract pricing is lower, which is a blatant lie. Their pricing is much higher than competitors and equipment that's really old and junk (our equipment runs on an analog phone line and is still more expensive than modern systems!). Cameras, door sensors and cloud storage is not even included in that uncompetitive price. Moreover, they purposefully mislead you when you want to cancel.
They say "all we ask for is a 30 day notice". And when you have already purchase another system, they will email back - oops, you had a contract and now you owe us for next several months even though we are not monitoring or providing any services for you. To make it worse, they will restart the contract for next 3 years when you purchase a home or business that has ongoing contract with them. Checkout their yelp page, it's full of 1 star reviews and stories about terrible customer service.
If you go to their website, they are misleading again by only showing positive reviews. All this company cares about is your money. I am rooting for the new age technology companies and I hope they will put legacy money suckers like Guardian out of business.

This is my second site where I've hired Guardian. I was very pleased with my first experience, and now very pleased with my second experience. Trace Turpin and his team were great. Took time to explain what was happening during the install, and took plenty of time setting up the back end with me and explained how it all worked (First install I hired them for was a residence, second install was commercial). Great job Guardian team, keep up the good work!

Just wanted to do a shout out for Guardian Security and let everyone know what a fantastic experience it was. Patrick Fernandez was our sales rep and he was amazing! Patrick was very professional and attentive to exactly what we needed. He was here for the installation and was quick to follow-up, as well to make sure everything went as planned. The installer was also very professional and courteous. He took measures to make sure he was respectful of our home. We couldn't be happier! We highly recommend Guardian Security!
