Platinum Home Theater was set up in August of 2002. Currently, Platinum Home Theater has 9 employees and one retail location in Carolina Forest Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Over time, Platinum Home Theater continually expanded their product line and product experience and opened up a retail location in Forestbrook Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Fabulous! had called two other companies for help. one wanted too much money just to come out to my house, other had terrible customer service. driving down 17 i stumbled on this company. Thank Goodness! professional courteous friendly, they came right out to my home next day and fixed a minor issue affecting my home sound system. very reasonably priced also. I would def recommend and utilize their services on future. Thank You.

On the evening of August, 17, 2021, Matt and Ryan arrived at my home in Charleston, SC. My original appointment was scheduled for the morning of the 17th, but Matt's and Ryan's scheduled had been overbooked, and they were left with few choices. They called me at 3:15pm to let me know they were heading my way. By this time, I had gone to another appointment, and would not be home for another hour.
They originally said that I would need to reschedule. When I tried to reschedule with them, I was told that I needed to reschedule with Best Buy. I said I would not do that. In fact, I had passed over 3 dates in order to get "the first" appointment of the day, and because I had waited all day for them to show up, that I was not going to reschedule.
They looked at their schedule and moved some things around and were able to come to me at 6pm, They were friendly, professional, and worked quickly. They did a fantastic job installing my TV and setting the programs up and teaching me how to use it. Matt and Ryan salvaged my relationship with Best Buy, which was heading down the drain. And they made my day end on a very happy note. Thank you Matt and Ryan. Your employer is lucky to have you working for them. Cornelia Spitz

I asked them to install two cameras in the house. One of which I wanted placed within the wall. At a later point, I didn't want them to place the camera in the wall. They are both Amazon Ring systems. First, I could have installed that on my own if I bought them. second of all, they didn't seem to understand what I wanted done initially so they had to come back a second time.
So I wanted to paying $500 for something that probably could have cost about $250 on my own. So instead of just doing the honest thing and saying we're going to sell you the system and I would pay their markup, they charged me extra money. You should take care of the customer and be on their side regarding what they're buying from you. I would have gladly paid just the markup fee. Next time, figure out what your customers want regarding a plan of attack first before you come over.

We chose Premier to install a new large/screen TV. The two installers were prompt, professional and unflappable - responding to some unforeseen complications easily and quickly. I would highly recommend this company, and I'll definitely use their services again. The installer who's originally from Lenoir, NC, was particularly kind and helpful. A great experience!

My wife and I have used Premier Sound out of Myrtle Beach for all of the AV work at our home in Oak Island, NC (over the last 5 years). We've had a couple of different technicians service us, and they all have been super. Recently, Rick, the owner, came out and was outstanding. He even spent quite a bit of time prior to the visit in helping us pick out a television, which we eventually couldn't even buy from him due to the TV being very hard to find. We would highly recommend Rick and his team. We just wish they'd open an office in Shallotte or Southport, as there is a tremendous need here. Thanks so much!

The entire process with Premier Sound was awesome. Our home was struck by lightening and basically fried all of our electronics. After filing an insurance claim my next call was Premier Sound. The initial phone call was probably the best customer service I have witnessed in a long time. They understood my need and frustration with our recent events and wanted to do everything they could to get our home back to normal.
I spoke with two clerical employees (Patty and Jackie) who were both amazing! They answered my questions and was quick to find an answer when they were not sure. In addition, they also made filing the claim easy as they were able to assist with the appropriate documentation. A quick appointment was scheduled where Rick came to our home and assessed the damage and created a report to provide to our insurance company.
Once the claim was approved, I was able to approve the replacements needed and a quick appointment was scheduled. Taylor and Matt both arrived on installation day and were both VERY professional. They took the time to explain what they would be doing during the installation process. In addition they took the time to program and show me how to operate the new equipment and even ask me to do a return demo.
Now that is customer service! Last, they ask if I had any questions and returned anything they moved back to its original location. I can honestly say, I wish more businesses took customer service serious. We have so many businesses that do not place their customers first, but Premier Sound should be proud of their employees. I will be a returning customer with Premier Sound for sure! Thank you to the entire team!
