We recently had Jim from HST out to work on our 20year old sound system. Other than the fact that we had to wait almost 5 months to get the parts - the upgrade went smoothly and we're now able to play our music from Spotify or iTunes from an app on our phones! Super easy to use and their staff has been great to deal with!

Cheap equipment that they don't stand by. Will charge you to come out and diagnose the problem on their defective equipment. Doorbell camera doesn't pick up half the time, main display keeps disarming without us even touching it, smoke detector has to be replaced less than a year after having it installed. Save yourself money and aggravation and go with a Ring doorbell and cameras!

I regret ever doing business with this company. When I first moved into my home I wanted to support a local business, After less than a year I started having issues with a second floor motion sensor that would false alarm often, when I called customer service they quoted me a price for repair or replacement, then said or we can just deactivate it.that's what I did, I didn't want to get fined by the police dept for false alarms.
A year later my alarm pad started malfunctioning, no help from customer service. rude lady on the phone. A few years later, my back door was kicked in while I was out of state, no alarm went off or signal sent to police switchboard. Yet, I am expected to remain in autopay 5 year contract with them. I couldn't wait for my contract to end, at which time I called the office to cancel.did not happen and they continued to charge me. So, I deleted my credit card information on their website.
Now they have sued me for a past due balance and equipment that was outdated(at the time it was installed, now I know) that doesn't work properly. Buyer beware! These crooks have the nerve to sue people during covid, like incomes are flowing! My god, I learned a lesson! Come get your funky broke equipment.

Horrible service. Should have cancelled years ago. Tech came to fix a couple of error codes back in March and change the main battery as well as adding a sensor. He only fixed one of the error codes. Accused me of moving the system, which is not true. Accused me of changing the cords, which is not true. Accused me of changing cable services, told him that was not true.
He constantly said it was impossible that the connections and the locations have been the same. Needless to say, ask him to leave our house and submitted request to cancel. After being a customer for over 10 years, they now charges $150 for us to disconnect. Horrible customer service.

I agree with the other reviews below. This company is awful. Their customer support is terrible. For an alarm company that is supposed to be available 24/7, they are incredibly difficult to get in touch with. Our system had a faulty sensor that would go off in the middle of the night that they couldn't fix. When we canceled our contact, they had the audacity to charge us a $150 "disconnect fee." A technician came to our house and pressed a couple of buttons on the console that we could have done ourselves. A complete scam! Do not let these scam artists into your house.

Very impressed with our system! Love our doorbell camera and our keyless entry! Barry our sales representative was so nice and great at explaining all the options and getting us set up! Brian our install technician was so nice and efficient. We didn't have electricity in the places we needed it to be, but he found a way to make it all work anyway just the way we wanted it!
He was also very thorough when explaining how it all works after he set it up! Tina has been great answering any questions we have and following up to make sure we are happy! We have even had to use the emergency on call number to ask a question (my fault) and we got a very prompt response on a Saturday night! We are very happy and we Highly Recommend!

From the time we scheduled our appointment to talk with the sales representative, Barry, until are installation everything was done professionally and above and beyond. Barry was extremely responsive to all of our needs when sending him a text, it was always answered within minutes. Dealing with Eric who installed our system, he was fantastic.professional and did more than expected.

I've recently acquired a security system from HS Tech and the experience has been very pleasant and efficient. Their sales associate Barry was excellent at explaining their security capabilities and their pricing plans. Their security system installation tech was very capable and efficient. We were referred to HST from our next door neighbor. I liked the fact that everyone is very personable. They answered the phone, no voice mail and I was transferred to Morgan to help me. She was very patient and listening to what we were looking for. She said it would be best to have a consultant stop out and look at what we were thinking. Barry was great.
We had a complete upgrade to our existing system, got the latest email alerts and an app on our phone. We can control our thermostats and door locks and are thinking about some other features, especially the indoor cameras. All in all, they were a pleasure to deal with. We did have one issue with a faulty sensor, but they were back the next day to change it out, they said it sometime happens. Id be happy to recommend them to anyone we know. GT
