Dana, my claims advocate, helped me immensely. He managed to get me the paperwork to try and save my insurance policy in an afternoon, when I had been bugging my Roofing company for weeks. He has forwarded that information to the policy team to try and help me. He was easy to talk to and really looked out for me during every step. I cannot recommend him highly enough

This is a "company first", customer last organization. I recently (March) purchased a home in Florida for seasonal winter use. I purchased home insurance through Security First. Before returning back North in April, Security First required that I do a home inspection using their app. I did the inspection as they wanted. Shortly after, I prepared the unit for its vacancy (unplug appliances and electronics, shut off main water to unit and secured accordingly).

Upon getting home up North (1300 miles away), I receive a letter from them requesting I change out the flexible drain pipe in the guest bathroom sink. I had to do this within 2 weeks or my policy would be cancelled. I called my agent, since you can't talk to Security First directly, and relayed I would not be back there for several months, and the main water was shut off so there was no risk of the drain backing up and causing an issue.

I indicated I would address their request as soon as I returned. That was not acceptable to them, and they went forth and cancelled my policy. Talk about not working with a customer, putting the company's interest first and the client at the bottom. I can only imagine how difficult this company would be to work with if you ever had to file a claim.

Yes their policy was slightly cheaper than others, but as the old saying goes "you get (or in this case don't get) what you pay for. Seek another insurance company to avoid headaches down the road. Update: As seen below, the "owner" of the insurance company responded to my negative review as well as other bad reviews on here as well. I promptly took my time to respond and supply the policy number to the "support" email provided.

Guess what happened? NOTHING. I had no response back what so ever. All these "replies from the owner" are a sham from the company to make people reading these bad reviews think that they really care, truth is they don't. The company name says it all Security (insurance) interest comes First, and the customer's interest comes last. I stand by my original claim to avoid using this company.

Wow, what amazing service I received from Jackie Beal. There was a question on my policy that needed to be resolved while I was on the premises. I was getting ready to leave for an extended period of time and the policy would last if the issue wasn't resolved. After we spoke the first time, Jackie called me back concerned and wanted to make sure my trip away from the property could proceed smoothly and my insurance would not lapse.

She spent a solid 45 minutes working on the issue, reviewing photos with underwriting and resending emails to affirm the policy reinstatement. I really don't ever remember getting such great service from an insurance company before. Usually the answers are vague and without substance. This was not the case with my service today. Thank you very much Jackie!

Helping my parents find new home owner's insurance was a tedious task but Kara & Chris were so professional, patient, and polite through the entire process! Rates have gone up throughout the years, but I found this company to be fair and competitively priced.

I had to call 2 times and 1 email to cancel my plan and I may need to call again to make sure. How many time do i need to call to cancel my plan. They also double my insurance with no notice. If you have this insurance company you better run now before it's to late.

I had one cancelled claim that I initiated and one failed roof claim and now they don't want to renew my already over priced plan. I have two houses insured with them. We'll not any longer. They have paid out $0 and view me as high risk, very very bad to treat your customers this way and comical.
