ABF has been wonderful to work with especially Angie Cassidy. She by far has exceeded my expectations. I would recommend ABF Security to anyone looking for superior care & service. There are so many products they offer from cameras & security to anything to do with low voltage. Family members of mine have used ABF Security for over 20 years & there is no other company out there that can compare to the top notch service you get from them, especially Angie.

I think my system is finally working and the 3 service men that have been at my house in the past month or so were very professional. My question is why it took so long to fix it? If you review my records, you will see too many false alarms were reported (nothing I did) with no action to correct them. Needless to say, the system was not making me feel secure!
Now that it was found that the fire alarm was sending signals from another address, I thought it was fixed. But I continued to receive calls that there was motion in my house when I was not home and the alarm was on. First there was the suggestion of moving the living room motion detector to fix it, but it didn't do it! The next step was to replace the motion detector at my expense and it seems to be working correctly.
My question is why something wasn't done sooner and why I'm having to replace this already? I did have this service turned on in November 2019, but didn't move into this house till May 2020. I do not want to replace this every couple of years and wonder if it was replaced when I first moved in? The service men tried to answer my concerns, but no one else has contacted me in regards to my problems. Can somebody else help me understand these concerns?.

I would recommend ABF to anyone and everyone! They are a very conscious, friendly company, one who regards their customers as family. Those words are used loosely many times but it is the case with this company. They are a family driven company and it definitely carries through with their employees and their highly valued customers.

We have an alarm for the house for a long time but recently got an "alert button" at my parents' home. They have called when the battery shows low and have immediately sent paramedics when it was set off (which is how we had it set up to be). Was very easy to change it to have them call me first as my father has accidentally set it off several times. Very pleasant to work with.

We have had ABF security for almost 20 yrs. They have great customer service and technicians. Just had James out today to switch our alarm system to the newer 4g from 3g. We have a place out in the country that isn't our main residence. James gave me a heads up phone call so that I could meet him out there. He was out on time and upgraded everything in a flash. Very nice pleasant young man.

Beware! I built a new home in 2020 and signed up for their service. Signed the 5 year contract (which is ridiculous) but I did because I wasn't planning on moving since this was to be my forever home. November 2021 my father passed away from Covid and my mother was left with no money to live on and about to loose her house. So I sold my house to buy hers and we (myself and my 2 small kids) moved in with her.
I contacted ABF to see if I could shut off service due to no longer living there or needing it and the agent asked her supervisor if I could be released from my contract due to unforseen circumstances. The supervisor responded by stating they can not at this time let me out of the contract they can however move service to my new residence and there may be a service fee to move it but she wasn't sure. If I wanted to buy my way out of the contract I had 3 more years to go so it would cost $1,800. I am beyond unhappy. I will never recommend this company again!

I've been a customer for quite a few years, I left for 3 years to go with AT&T but decided to use a local company. They have always provided professional service and calling the office is always easy, the women who answer are professional and courteous. When the sales woman had my service installed 3 years ago, she assured me after the 36 months my monitoring would go back to $25/month she claimed she spoke with the owner who told her to lower the price since I was a customer for 10 years, and I came back to ABF.
So I've been with them for 13 plus years. When I called in September 2021 they were rude and told me to look at my contract which I did and nothing on it about the monitoring charge being lowered. My fault, salesperson is no longer there nothing I can do. But there is, I'm going to switch companies and lower the monitoring charge. I paid 39.99/month for 36 months which was for the EQUIPMENT, why would I stay since I'm still paying $39.99? Read your contract before signing.

The service is horrible! My system hasn't worked probably for months and they charge $75 for each visit to correct things that can easily be troubleshooted over the phone (like setting off the alarm to reset it). They are very rude and won't even return my voicemails to cancel the service, so I'm stuck paying monthly for a service I can no longer use (because the equipment is trash) because they won't allow me to cancel. This is unethical and I will be contacting the better business bureau.

Have had their security system for 4 months now with no problems. Have the doorbell camera and another camera in the basement looking at the back slider. Can view both cameras in live mode or saved mode from the app on my iphone. Called to pay the bill and very nice lady answered. All is good with them so far and have only been impressed.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! We unfortunately dealt with this company because our builder recommended them. From the wiring of our cable/internet system to the alarm contract, it has been a disaster. Our sales person, Amanda Cullen sold us on the idea of having our cable boxes in a different room so we wouldn't see any wires, which in theory seemed like a good idea.
Problem we have now is that the video and audio are way out of sync because the receiver is too far from the TV. Looking back, it was just a way for them to charge us for all the wiring needed to put the cable receiver in a different room. On top of that they wanted to charge us $750 to hang a TV over our fireplace. The alarm was even worse, we initially passed on the idea of an alarm, but then they came back and dramatically dropped the price.
It was presented to us as a trial basis, in fact all the proposals said "recurring service". After 3 months in the home and only using the alarm 5 times we called to cancel, only to find out we were in a 3 year contract that my wife signed. Keep in mind both of our names were on the contract but they conveniently only sent it to my wife to sign. This was the first time I had seen this contract.
I immediately went online to see if we were the only suckers who had fallen for this, and sure enough there were plenty of other people who had the same experience. I cant believe I had to give this company 1 star

I have had the worst customer experience with ABF Security. They were more interested in up selling the larger packages than they were in providing services that I really needed. They claimed that they worked with the Internet providers "all the time." Instead they were misinformed and I was very disappointed when Charter showed up and could not connect all of what ABF installed.
And then I was told it was because I did not order the Data Package, like it was my fault. They never tried to understand my needs, and only argued when I spoke to them. Avoid this vendor.

I am a new customer of this company. I was referred by a long time customer. I have to say I was very impressed with the sales representative that they sent, she was very professional and knowledgeable as was the technician that installed my system. If you are looking for a local company and tired of the large corporate BS then I highly recommend you check out ABF security.

We needed a security system installed. Simple enough.not for this company (read on) They lure you in with one quote / price and it's a totally different story once the work is complete, They don't show you a final bill till the work has been complete, even if you would inquire for one. Good luck getting a detailed bill. Oh wait, you'll get one, once they have messed with the numbers. (In their favor) They leave you with a system that only works half of the time. *Best of luck to you, if you choose this company*

Be EXTREMELY wary of the sales people. The house we bought had an ABF system installed however we did not have the passcode. So we called ABF who informed us a sales person would have to come out before they'd reset the code. When the sales person came out, we were very hesitant about the system and didnt really feel we needed it. The sales person informed us that we could "try it out" and cancel if we didnt like it.and then proceeded to put us in a 5 year contract that is pretty air tight.
The contract also states that it will auto renew unless you send a certified letter within 30 days of the termination point indicating you want to cancel. First, shame on us for not reading the contract. Had we read it thoroughly and understood the duration we would have sent the sales person promptly out the door. Second, shame on the sales person for the deceptive tactics.
I didnt give a 1 star because ABF has been working with me to adjust the contract period down. We were able to get our sentence lowered to 2 years.and by all accounts, I think their system works and they're friendly folks to work with. Recapitulating: READ THE CONTRACT and DONT TRUST THE SALES PEOPLE!
