Malibu Patrol Gates Security

In my opinion, Gates is the only company to go with if you want a security company that can actually respond while the intruder is there. We decided to go with them because of their presence in the community. We noticed that they were always the first ones on the scene of auto accidents and they are around and alert all the time. The clincher for us were a couple of headlines about burglars being caught not by the police, but by Gates.

Their response time is super fast and you can have your preferences set to have them start heading to you before they confirm an intruder if your alarm goes off. To me, that is a HUGE plus because burglars know they only have a few minutes to be in and out, but there's a chance of them actually being caught with Gates (vs. confirming the alarm and then sending someone). As far as I'm concerned these guys are better than the police because they'll be there when you need them. That's something the LAPD can't guarantee.

The "officers" speed on duty and could run you over if you are not careful. They are living the dream of gun toting and street racing.

Horrible company. Way too expensive and only have one car out and they are super understaffed. Especially their Operations Manager, he is super rude and does not care about his clients or quality of service. Please avoid them at all cost. Go with ADT or ACS.

This is not a false rating this is a rating from a concerned citizen that saw their officers beat up and brutalized an Unhoused man. I called their office and nobody had the decency to even call me back. Shows how professional they really are.

Critical: Professionalism For this company to represent our conmunity is a huge problem. Its funny they claim "not a client" when they interact with the public. Everyone is your "client" when you engage them kids.

They are there in minutes of a call. Responsive, heck yes! Very professional! Very satisfied with all aspects of their service!

After months of problems we have finally ended our relationship/contract with palisades patrol. We have had nothing but unsatisfactory service, a camera system that never worked right and lack of any interaction with their security guards. After looking through their pictures and watching their videos of the criminal assault on the homeless man we are happy to have parted ways! There are far BETTER options for far LESS money, do your research before selecting gates security as your choice for an alarm company!

UPDATE: They have fixed part of the problem for us, I guess you have to negatively review these guys to get semi-respectable service out of Gates Security. Once they fix the rest of our situation they can have more stars.

I recently hired Gates Security to provide security at my burned down Malibu homesite. There have been break-ins and property theft after the terrible Woolsey-Malibu wildfire. Their officers are professional, polite and effective. A class organization all around.

This company is absolutely fantastic. We have used their services for nearly 10 years. They have been consistently professional and willing to be of great service to our community.

I have used Pali Patrol for years. If they are more expensive it's worth it. They have the most local cars, fastest response time and have even stopped to tell me my garage door was open and I should keep it closed. When I came home to find my house had been burglarized I called them to go into the house with me and they were there in 3 minutes.

My friend called another company for the same reason and it took them 20 minutes so she switched companies. Be careful why you're choosing a security company - money or SECURITY.

This company has been wonderful since its inception. They have provided my family professional protection and wonderful alarm systems. Furthermore they're always attentive and willing to help.

Save your $$$$$$$$ Do your research before signing a contract with this company. Deceptive sales tactics, Promises unkept. Go with a reputable company. They only have one car out on patrol to cover santa monica, brentwood, palisades, malibu. Terribly long response times. Terrible customer service. no 24 hour technicians.
