EMC was recommended by coworkers. They have services at the job as well. When calling they got right back to me. They came out on time and everything was set up so fast. EMC allowed me to keep my old sensors and updated my monitor screen. Their app makes everything so simple and the cost is great. EMC has a variety of security systems for everyone's needs. The best part, besides their security, is that it's a low monthly payment that won't increase and you don't need a yearly subscription unless you want.

My family had been using EMC for over 8 years, so it was a no brainer when I moved into my first home that I choose EMC as my security provider. The process was so efficient and well done. Everyone I spoke or emailed with was really nice and responsive. I would highly recommend them and will use them again when I move out of this house. - and their rates are really good. They were able to customize my package to allow me to use more window glass sensors instead of a motion detector because I knew I'd have a large dog soon.

My experience with EMC has been good. Initially, my alarm went off several times due to faulty wiring installed by another security company. We used sensors previously installed hoping it would save me money. Every time there was a false alarm i was contacted immediately. Personnel and the technicians were personable and efficient. My system is now operating at optimum level. I am more than satisfied, I feel secure and comfortable in my home. I highly recommend EMC as I believe you will be as pleased as l am.

We have had two different security companies over the years, before this recent change to EMC. With both previous companies we just felt that our needs and system requests were not being met. Prices kept increasing. Service kept lacking. Due to me being older and high-pitched tone deaf, I could not hear our keypad chime when entry doors opened. Even with great hearing aids, I could not hear the chime throughout the house.
The last security company came and basically said there was nothing which could be done. No effort was made at all. The tech said "pay the monthly charge for the app and you'll get the notifications on your phone. And by the way, that's $7 or $8/month." So I called EMC. A salesman with great knowledge came, reviewed our system, and offered a resolution at little cost.
A part had to be ordered, but as soon as it arrived a technician came to do the install. He inspected our entire system, finding and replacing a couple of window sensors, at no cost. The modified system works great, I can hear the chime throughout the house. In the switch to EMC, even getting their awesome app to arm/disarm, troubleshoot, and much more, our monthly fee actually went down. Folks in the office were very pleasant and professional when I called to setup auto pay, and even sent some detailed information about our system. We're very pleased!

I love EMC security. I had EMC for a few years and then switched to another company because I moved and my neighborhood recommended I switch, so. I did. I had the worst experience that I had to cancel and switch back to EMC. I l highly recommend EMC over any other company. Prices are very reasonable and the service is impeccable. I enjoy every single technician that I have encountered- courteous, communicative and very knowledgeable. I just wish they serviced a larger area but very happy that can service my home. I was looking for a local monitoring company for my existing security system. I saw a reminder on the Cobb EMC website that EMC Security was a local option. When my existing contract expired, I called EMC Security for information. The rep was very helpful and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I was especially pleased that there is no long term contract and that my current system was compatible. Scheduling the transfer was easy, the technician was knowledgeable and efficient, and even walked me through the system operation. So I was up in running quickly and by the way saving a few hundred dollars a year. Highly recommended!

When the technician came out to the house he verified my existing system updated it were required. He then helped me understand how the new app works. I'm very happy with EMC. Purchased a home with an existing system. The previous home owner was happy with the service; so I decided to sign up. All parts of the reconnection were great & the system is super easy to understand. The sales team did not pressure me and worked around my schedule. The parts of the system fit into my decor. Monitoring is priced right and I get a discount on my home insurance.

I am very satisfied with the services I received. I was a former customer, and came back to EMC. They are very respectful and thoughtful. The technicians that reinstalled my services were very professional and knowledgeable. The customer service has been very responsive and monitoring after a slight trigger to check in on me was a welcomed surprise.
Just seeing the amount of time and care that they have spent with me getting me back up, I understand why scheduling can be lengthy. They respected my home and kept the work area clean. Who does that these days! I am really glad I came back to EMC!

I recently switched from a local security company where I was a customer for 12 years, due a significant rate increase due to the switching of 5G towers I ended my contract. I noticed EMC signs in the neighborhood and decided to contact EMC. From hello I received a warm welcome and extreme customer service from inception to install. The technician was highly knowledgeable and patient. We've been pleased over the last 30 days and with no contract or rate increases I can see us being a longtime customer!

I had to get a new security system put in because I got new windows in my home. So my whole system had to be changed to wireless. I called EMC to find out what I needed to do. They told me exactly what needed to be done. They got somebody out here very quickly. They completely redid my whole system. They did an incredible job. It was very reasonably priced.
It was done in a timely manner and they explained everything thoroughly. When they left, I did not have a single question because of how well they explained everything. I have used them for 13 years and will continue to do so. Their customer service is topnotch. I love my new wireless system. It is so much better than my old hardwired system. I highly recommend.

Our technician John was great. He actually came to our house 3 times and our home was not quite ready for installation. He was very polite and knowledgeable. He arrived early. There was absolutely no mess when he left. The monthly service fee is very reasonable. Would definitely recommend this company.

We had a wonderful experience the whole way, from speaking to Lee McGhee@EMC through, to, and including our great technician, Eric, that set up the system. They both were very knowledgeable and explained everything we needed to know from the set-up to monitoring to playback and to the app. We used EMC in our old house and loved their responsiveness and helpfulness so we wanted to use them in our new house. We'd highly recommend EMC! They are also very reasonable.

At this point, EMC has a 100 out of 100 score. The salesperson (David House) and installers (Eli & Tim) were exceptional! They were punctual, efficient, professional and just nice. I couldn't be any happier with the results. The cameras are excellent as well. I was able to review them last night and the clarity and color are great. Just finished install of EMC Security system, and couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the product(s), and ease of installation and use. This is most important considering I tried Simply Safe and it was a DISASTER, both in terms of non-existent customer service/support, and quality of product(s). Even though their initial product cost was less than EMC it proves that you get what you pay for.
Also very comfortable with EMC as they are also owned by my electric co-op, Jackson EMC which is great, and their monthly monitoring cost will be billed directly on my electric bill monthly, with no service contract.

EMC Security did a very good job when installing my system. Asked where we wanted everything placed when it came to our panel, contacts and outdoor cameras. Sales person and technician were very courteous, on time and knowledgeable about the product. I am very satisfied with the system that was installed. App is easy to use for arming and disarming the system as well as adjusting cameras.

EMC security recently tool over my monitoring service. The sales rep was very knowledgeable, the appointment was made for a week later and the installer arrived exactly on time. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about our system. He installed the EMC monitoring equipment, went over all the details and answered all our questions. Highly recommend them.

Tech support doesn't exist on weekends. My alarm has been beeping all weekend long. I call Saturday and was voice mail system. How do you suppose get help with issues on weekend. I think there equipment is faulty. They did some upgrade to my wireless celluar. Technician left old stuff in basement. So now have listen to beeping all weekend long. Tech support should be available on weekends. Why pay for service and can't get any service. I will be looking at other companies in 2020.

Their sales department isn't pushy and it was nice having one person to communicate with as I price hunted during our home buying process. We ended up going with them 3.5 weeks after our initial call because the home buying and moving process took over our lives. Once we placed our order, we received our system within 2 days and it was soo easy! Great service, great price and we can bundle it onto our electric service bill with Walton EMC. Really happy!

I am pleased with the monitoring svc thus far. The calling card for the business IMO is the 16.95$(5$ extra remote access) NO CONTRACT service they provide. I'm no rocket scientist but if I'm billed for 3 months in advance then I'm essentially in quarterly contracts. My mistake was quickly signing documents on the tech's iPad and not reading. It's there! However, he was certain to point out on the very same form I signed, the total cost of 21.95$p mo. and NO CONTRACT! Techs should do a better job of explaining the full terms of the service.

The response to my review would cause a lawyer to gag. Don't buy it. And I seriously doubt that Clark Howard has EVER suggested to anyone that they disregard a contract. If this outfit is so dismissive about their 13 page contract, why don't they do what they advertise and not require it. UNBELIEVABLE!

Worst customer ever, had an alarm go off and the chat option didn't even work, didn't get an message stating that the alarm was cancelled. The Suwannee location only handles trouble alarms, all fire, police and ems go thru Idaho or Iowa station. I called to cancel the service and spoke to Audrey who was very rude, I paid till the 2/28 and she said she can't get me a refund for the next 21 days I paid for. John Reeves will be notified.
Cheap service and faulty equipment, you get what you pay for. I am so happy to pay $55.00 month worth cameras and start of the art technology and equipment that ADT security offers. I don't recommend them!

The few times I've had to interact with their telephone service reps after install, I haven't been impressed. They don't seem as professional as you'd hope and don't follow through on things. When my alarm went off while I was away, the agent calls and even after confirming my code and telling her it was a false alarm she casually is talking instead of advising me it's still blaring according to their system so I should probably try again to turn it off.
Another time I was trying to get more equipment put in and they were lax about following up. But they have a good price compared to others and you can use the existing equipment in the home.

Overall a good company since we switched to them years ago. Not happy with how the rep handled my call today. Maybe I called the wrong department? Who knows. She announced as "dispatch". She doesn't sound happy about taking my call when I explained reason for my call. I provided my security word and alarm address as usualI. Explained to her about putting a zone in test mode so I can reset the tampering sensor.
She said she doesn't understand my request and also stated she can't make changes since I'm not the owner. After further discussion to verify I'm the actual owner, somehow she knew exactly what my request was. :- Most of my calls went well in the past, tonight was by far the worst since we switched to EMC. Hope this type of experience doesn't happen again.

I used this company 5 years ago when I lived in Atlanta. I recently purchased another home there and gave two security companies a called. I decided to go back with EMC Security. Never had any problems with them in the past and after dealing with ADT for the last 36 months ( 3 yr contract & high monthly fees) it wasn't a hard decision. My only concern since returning to EMC is billing.
When the rep came out to meet with me and I signed up. I gave him my credit card for what I was told due $212.28. The following day the tech came out and after he was done. I was told the previous amount paid the day before was due plus the $101.84 for the PC**** he installed. I told him I paid the guy the day before the $212. He said it wasn't showing up in his computer that I paid anything. Again, I paid the tech $314.12.
After checking my account transactions. I was charged $212.28 one day and $314.12 the following day. I called the billing department and it was immediately corrected and I was refunded the $212.28. A few weeks later, I received my first bill for the quarterly payment of $71.85 (no problem). The bottom portion of the statement says account balance $385.97 (now there's a problem).
I called again and spoke with the billing department and she's says "I'm not showing a payment but if you paid, I'm sure it's here, disregard" This is the second time I'm being asked to pay what's been paid. KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS. I do think this is a good company. They need to get their billing department organized. Losing track of customers payments IS NOT a good sign.

We had at least three different companies during the past 12 years. The last one sent a message that they will stop monitoring (duh!), but sent me a bill. When questioned, they said that they "farm out" their monitoring to a "well known" national chain! Enough said. I called EMC security. The manager showed up the next day with two of his best people.
They understood my needs, suggested minor changes to the previous system, came in the next day and got everything done to my fullest satisfaction. They are never hurried, methodical and take time to explain what is being done and how the system will function. Vince, congrats. You have a great team. Oh, I forgot to add, they also do theater systems. Ours stopped functioning properly. Vince told me that he will take care of it.
As usual two guys showed up, diagnosed the problem, made necessary changes and made sure the system worked properly, vacuumed the entire place and left. The charges for two of them working almost three hours was extremely reasonable (they also brought appropriate wires - included in the repair cost) Vow!

Great, exceptional company! So why did I have the bright idea to change to ADT after being with EMC for 10 years is beyond me. I had a midlife crisis I guess. But, I can tell you one thing. DON'T ever go with ADT! Their workmanship is deplorable. It's my understanding that they that subcontract the installation portion and it shows.running wires ACROSS walls and the alarm system was constantly triggering unexpectedly in the middle of the night.almost caused me several heart attacks! NEVER again. Cancel them like a hot potato and returned to EMC. EMC welcomed me with open arms.the prodigal daughter has returned home!

After having some issues with our strange, outdated (commercial panel in a residence) ADT security system, we decided to call EMC. Butch K. came out and made some recommendations and gave us a quote. Our tech, Dalan N. got us up and running soon after with a smart new system. Because we had a commercial panel and it was wired a certain way, the cost effective solution was to go with a similar type of panel.
I was hoping for a residential panel, but appreciated that they saved us money and time by doing what they did. We like the mobile app and other features of our system and we're getting more for a lesser price. We appreciated the professionalism and expertise of our EMC guys and have decided to change out our ADT system in our office/warehouse, which oddly, is a residential panel. Go figure!

After writing a less than positive review earlier, my faith has been restored in EMC security. I had contacted customer service to have a technician come out and check my system for a malfunction and was told it would be a two week wait. I had told the rep - just forget it - I won't use my system. So either from that phone conversation or my subsequent review, I received a phone call from a supervisor who wanted to help.
He scheduled a technician for the following day (a Saturday!) and gave me his phone number/email for future use. Will F. came out and solved the issue, was courteous, attentive and gave me a refresher on using the alarm. To say the least, John and Will are to be commended for excellent customer service. Thank you so much.

This is a quality company. Over 2 years now and I have gotten great service at great prices. Two years and no monthly increase. Nobody does that anymore but this company does. I've delt with the high prices of ADT and loud security high prices and couldn't get out of their contract. Yes read the fine print. Only allowed out of contract during the week it expires then automatically renews.
Enough about them. Did I metion. EMC has no contract. I have motion detection and smoke alarms. Try them you'll like them. One more thing. Com'on no company is perfect. But they do try hard. I guess if you compare them to comcast maybe their pretty close. Huh! No! I don't work there and no realitives do.lol

How EMC Security Regained My Trust, (and a Five Star Rating). They listened to me. It is exceptionally rare that a company can and will respond like EMC did to my complaint. They are reviewing their policies based on my comments, fixing my sensor, and picking up the bill for this month's service. Their response, which I trust you can read, was sincere, good natured, and even a bit humorous. Well done!

EMC Security is very slow at responding when the alarm goes off. I have accidentally set off my alarm a few times and each time it has taken them almost two minutes to call me. If it were a real accident, anything could have happened by the time they finally decided to call. I have been a customer for over a year now, but I will be switching to a different monitoring service next month. It makes no sense having a security monitoring service that isn't prompt on emergency alarms.
