Independent Alarm has been extremely easy to work with. They provided exactly what we needed and asked for, as well as accommodating a last minute request for additional equipment. For over 20 years Independent Alarm gave me great service at my home and office. However, I foolishly turned to another "security alarm company" thinking they could give me more than I already had. Wow was I wrong! I quickly realized that the service I had with Independent Alarm was far and above what the "new security alarm company" promised me. The "new security alarm company" misled me with a slick sales pitch about all they could offer.

Soon after I signed up I discovered that my sales representative abruptly left the company and I was left with empty promises. Service charges with the "new alarm company" were extremely high while they had to return multiple times to diagnose or correct the same issue! Meanwhile the service charges mounted despite the fact that the issues were never satisfactorily resolved!

I was quickly reminded how Independent Alarm was easy to reach whenever I needed service or an answer to a question. When it came to excellent service Independent Alarm was reliable, efficient and affordable. Independent Alarm's integrity and quality of service is truly unbeatable. So I am happy to say that I have returned to Independent Alarm with no intention of ever leaving again!

Independent Alarm is Amazing. I have been with the company for years, so you would think after so many years they "got you" when it comes to pricey maintenance calls and such. Not the case. I recently want to do a slight upgrade to go remote. There was some issues and they replaced the entire guts of the system - free of charge. They came out a few times and no labor charges. They really stand behind their product/work and I highly recommend. The monitoring company is pretty efficient as well. Thanks to Jaime, Tony and the whole team

I gave 3 stars to Independent Alarm to be fair to the company as I have not used their Alarm services. From my recent experience I would give 0 star to the sale rep "Joe". We had an appointment at 3:00pm on 6/20/2017. Joe called at 2:40 asking if we could meet early and I returned the call 5 minutes later at 2:45. The number that he called from was their office number in NJ and they had to communicate to him that I was fine with an early meeting.

Then he called again, left a message that he was not able to find a parking space (NOT a fact at this time of the day in my neighborhood). I contacted him again at 2:50pm and he was on his way to the next appointment. I checked where he was, he said at 67th street. In 5 minutes he was at 67th street from Center City? At 2:55pm I called Tony at the office to report the lack of service (note that 2:55pm was before the time of my scheduled appointment with Joe). Tony had been very helpful a few days prior, to get all the information and organize the field inspection with the salesman Joe. However, when the incident was reported, he was polite but non-committal, like he could not do anything about it but knew about the problem with sales.?

I am not sure what has happened. Philadelphia is to far? Too complicated for a NJ organization? They have a communication problem? I will never know but I cannot trust this company with the safety of my family and will use someone else.

I found Independent Alarm online.they are close to where I live and have been in business for a bunch of years.all good in my opinion. I wanted a basic, no frills alarm system and that what they provided. No hard sell, just information to help me decide what I wanted. Scheduling was easy and the price was what I consider to be reasonable and fair.

The equipment is high quality, easy to use and understand, and expandable. The two techs that came to install were knowledge and friendly, and the installation went smooth. I would definitely recommend Independent Alarm. It's good to know they are just a phone call away if I have any questions or decide to expand the system.

Great experience. The team there is extremely helpful, especially Tony Jones - between him and Jamie Kerth, my needs were all met immediately and professionally. My family feels safer already.

A rare find. This is a nice company with great prices that also know how to treat customers right. They not only get to know you, but provide support for their work. It was nice to know that they were monitoring my family and their home when I could not be there. We could have chosen a cheaper firm, but we really would not have saved anything in the long run.

My elderly mom was very comfortable talking with them and the monitoring station. No matter how many times we set the alarm off by accident, they were eternally patient with us. And I set the alarm off more times than my mom. Very nice people. We wish them all the best.

I have multiple accounts with Independent Alarm and have a good working relationship with them. Their prices are always fair and their customer service is great. It's nice to deal with a local company that takes pride in their work. Their employees are always pleasant to deal with and the technicians show up on time. I would and have recommended them to others.

Wow! What a difference from old tri-state and ADT. Annual agreements versus three year commitments, they were able to utilize all my existing hardware and are literally under $20 a month for 24 x 7 monitoring. I'm so pleased with their service I'm adding video monitoring. They do the install custom for no additional charge beyond the equipment. I'll post an update after that install and let you know how it goes. Yay! A well run local business that delivers on it's promise. Go Independent!
