Telpix's 5424 is designed to work on low light condition, the function is called, 'day and night'. It switches to black and white mode automatically if there isn't much light. I hired this guy from a search on the internet to install a surveillance camera system. He came to my home to evaluate the scope of the job. He charged me $1500 to do the job. The day of installation he arrived late, so therefore he did not finish the job. When he left my house 2 of the cameras was not working. He agreed to return to fix those issues the following day. 5 weeks later he has not returned my call and not responsive to my text messages.
I have several cameras not connecting to the internet, I had to hire another company to finish the job. He took my money and never returned to finish the job. The wires were left exposed and hanging in the garage. Please use caution when hiring this guy. He later responded to my text saying that my location was too far. He also took two of my camera and never returned it. Please use caution when hiring this individual.

Bought this through Costco and wouldn't recommend to anyone. Battery power is terrible and can only be synchronized by pushing the button on the camera. Had someone go up on the ladder where cameras should be. Minutes later all cameras were offline and couldn't be sync'd at the base. Us girls can't alway climb a ladder. It's good to have camera's up high so bad people cant steal your cameras. Junk
